That's less than 3k USD. Except he's heading towards an African country, he should shelve the idea of japa. With the influx of questions like this, I strongly believe people underestimate the cost of japa. When they tell you people sell houses, land, valuable properties just to japa, do you think it's a fable? 194 Likes 16 Shares |

I honestly doubt that 5 million naira will get him very far with his plans to Japa. I also do not support starting a business in this economy. Therefore, he should just continue with whatever he did or is doing that gave him the 5 million naira so he can save up more. 19 Likes 2 Shares |

If u go England, Australia, US etc, and you are not lazy, you will get the money back less than 6 months, but here in Naija, if you don't careful, the money would have reduced before 6 months. 22 Likes |

N5m isn't enough for japa... that's less than $3k. Unless you're going to Ghana or Kenya, japa is out of it. You need at least N20m to leave this country, take this from me as a travel consultant. If you have 5m now, spend 1m to stock pile on food that's gonna last for at least 1 year, invest in yourself by getting any in-demand skill, you can then invest the rest on any business you know how to do, that's all.... 32 Likes 4 Shares |

Life is a gamble. Just try your luck. 5m isn't the issue even if you have 50m and your contact is not tight all that money goes down the drain. So rephrasing your question. With the right contact can 5m help me japa. The answer is YES. 20 Likes 3 Shares |

For your uncle at 45, the decision between relocating or starting a business depends on his goals, risk tolerance, and family needs. Relocating could offer stability and new opportunities if he's skilled in high-demand fields, while starting a business could build legacy and wealth if he sees a market gap he’s equipped to fill. It’s a choice between a fresh start abroad or leveraging his experience to create impact locally. 4 Likes |
