abubakar123olat:Honesty and disclosure is one of the things that will allow the case worker to think you're a genuine visitor. Of course they do share information. Pray that they don't probe that part |

No personal bank statement wasn't attached or required as Payslip showed Salary was above the financial requirement for the visa. davodyguy: 1 Like |

@gerrald02 Congratulations. Just a little correction as someone a few months ago made an error due to information from this thread and applied for the wrong visa type. They lost over 3k pounds in that sitting. They were waiting for the Home office decision and it didn’t come and when it was chased up, home office made them aware and refused the application as the onus is on one to apply for the right visa type. The visa type you were approved is a UK Dependent visa and not a UK spousal visa as the spousal visa is only for partners of persons with settled status that is British citizens and those with ILR. It is a more tedious and lengthy process requiring lot more evidence and financial criteria to be met. Also way more expensive. https://www.nairaland.com/823869/uk-spouse-visa-appeal-process-part2 Congratulations once again. |

Well, if you take into consideration the time it took to obtain the required documents, like ECCTIS and so on, the process can take a while. davodyguy: 1 Like |

Hello @giselle237, Some time ago I applied for a visa as partner (of a British citizen) and looking at gerrald02's application, it seems to be more or less the same documents that I also submitted. So I am genuinely curious how to differentiate a spouse visa from a dependent visa application. How were you able to tell? giselle237: 1 Like |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by gerrald02: 1:31am On Nov 13 |
My Earlier Post was correct. I applied for a Spousal/Partner Visa ( 1. Being in a civil partnership or marriage that’s recognised in the UK 2. Being together in a relationship for at least 2 years when you apply 3. Have a good knowledge of English 4. Meet the financial requirements which for Category A is proof of Salary above £29k so bank statement not required once p60/payslips proves this. 5. TB Test. I just thought it might be helpful to update as before applying I didn't see much updates on this visa route when going through the various pages on this threads looking for information. Yes the onus is on you to choose the right visa type based on your circumstances else it'd be waste of time and resources otherwise. I would have thought the price alone would have made one look at what was being applied for thrice. https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa/ giselle237: 2 Likes |

gerrald02:Apologies for the misunderstanding. My perspective was influenced by the bad experiences shared by some applicants on this thread + DM and some other factors in your initial post but there be no need for me to go into that again and derail the thread. 3 Likes |

Hello everyone, When applying for PCC from diaspora for my wife, under the ‘purpose for request’, we selected ‘employment’ But she will be applying as my dependent. Can we use the certificate like that when applying for new visa? Thank you. giselle237 |

Hi, I am completing UK visa application after expiration of first visa. I am ask of date of issuance of my previous Visa, how can I get the date? is it the initial date of validity period of previous visa or the date the visa was approved? Thank you. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by naivasha: 5:42pm On Nov 14 |
I always use the start date of the visa validity and where possible, include a scan of the previous visa in the application. jimcykhan: 1 Like |

Good day all, I am planning to use my rental contract as part of the supporting documents for my mum’s visit visa application. However, I have a concern regarding the validity of the contract. The tenancy agreement technically expired last year in October, but I have continued residing in the same property under the same terms without a formal contract renewal from my landlord. Will the expiry date on the contract be an issue or is there any additional documentation I should provide to confirm my ongoing tenancy? I look forward to your responses 🙏 |

I submitted my application during the week and I received this email some hours ago. Thank you for your visa/entry clearance application which has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days and settlement applications within 60 working days (unless you have opted for a Priority Visa service). We are unable to resolve your application within these customer service targets, due to operational restrictions. Please be assured that we will continue to progress your application to enable a decision to be made as soon as possible. Please do not attend the application centre until you have been contacted by the VAC. Kind regards Croydon DMC |

Jolene474: I received this as well. This is the NSF email. Infact they sent it twice, got my visa still. |

Fadethrowaway:Your travel history is responsible for this success. You've been there and didn't violate visa rules. Hence they overlooked some of the things you're afraid about. If not, they would raise a flag, as they do for freshers |

I'm applying for a UK visa and need guidance on declaring my monthly expenses. Specifically: How should I declare my monthly spending when my expenses fluctuate from month to month? In my application, I plan to declare £1,800 for my trip expenses, which is lower than typical tourist spending because I have secured free accommodation through a friend's invitation letter. I already have proven travel history with two previous Schengen visas Is this a reasonable approach for my financial declaration? Also, what supporting documents should I provide to validate my friend's accommodation offer and how does this affect the required funds I need to show? |
