I completed the Ds160 for 3 of us and paid the VISa fees on AVITs for the three of us. I can proceed to book appointment for two out of the three accounts. The third account is yet to be validated and as such I cannot proceed to book appointment. It’s been a week now that I made the payment and I have my payment confirmation. I have opened a ticket to seek to have this resolved but it’s on hold. Please what else can I do? I can not book appointment for any of us because of this as the pending account is for our daughter.

Secondly, I selected Lagos while completing the DS 160 and also selected Lagos while creating account on AVITs. Can I book appointment for Abuja? There are no earlier dates in Lagos at the moment as it takes me directly to June and I have not been able to book appointment since our daughter’s payment is yet to be validated even though I have payment confirmation.

Had my interview in Lagos, appointment was for 7:15a.m. USA is indeed not for the faint hearted upon I told them I was engaged and preparing for my wedding and going for a conference sponsored by my company .They still served me breakfast. I wonder what exactly they look for in order to give visa. I honestly think single people don’t stand a chance. By the time they hear you say, you aren’t married, no kids. I logged in just to answer your question since you’ve been asking the question a lot. The DS160 number is incorrect. If you’re able to retrieve the DS160 form, directly copy and paste the number to the AVITS. If not, create a new DS160 form, note the number and directly copy it to the AVITS to avoid any mistake. A simple check in Lagos or Abuja shows that the number is incorrect.

Also ensure you fill at least the first page of the DS160 form so you can retrieve it later.

Hmm, that’s very strange, if the number is correct since you are copying and pasting, ensure there is no space at the end of the number, that might be another reason.

Same here o.........I saw someone said on this thread that you can change a number in your passport number and that it will go, so I did that, i changed number "0" to alphaphet "O" and I was able to move past that stage and to the payment stage. I intend to make the payment and then if there is an issue with the reconciliation, i can use that format that the embassy said one can use if you have paid and you havent been able to book an appointment but then i am still chilling and hoping that there is another way......

Send an email to the lagisniv email on this thread. Check earlier pages for the format. I progressed past this issue after sending an email to them. I wouldn't advise payment with wrong passport number.

My dad was unaware of the new visa platform. He went to drop off his document as today is the appointment date for drop off based on the old platform only to be told that the process had changed. He was given the new link to book an appointment on the AVITS portal. I have created an account for him on the AVITS portal but it looks like his profile was migrated and appointment was rescheduled and cancelled. I'm guessing because it was missed but no email was sent to him with the new information. Anyway, my question is do I just go ahead and reschedule or do I create new appointment. Does anyone know the difference between Consulate Appointment and OFC Appointment? Thank you for your answers in anticipation.

Good evening. I want to express my appreciation for the poster that explains how to reset the password. I struggled with this issue for almost a month, but I have finally managed to log into my portal. However, I am trying to reschedule to an earlier date and can't find the button to proceed after selecting the date.

I would greatly appreciate your assistance if anyone has gone through a similar experience. Please note that my account was migrated from the old portal. Thank you!

Hello all, my first time here. It's good to be here. I need help with this, please.
My parents had their appointment scheduled as a joint application through my Dad's account, on the old system for December 2024 (an IW), but it was changed to August without an email notice. They got the migration email and my Dad's account was successfully migrated with the option to reschedule the previous appointment that was rescheduled without notice. Now my question, please.
Since this is a joint application from the old system, will rescheduling the appointment through my Dad's account automatically cover my mum's application? That is, does this still count as a joint application?
I can't seem to get a hint from the Avits site and I have tried support a couple of times, but all they keep saying is there is no joint application for Nigeria on the new system. I think this is different since it is a re-scheduling process for a joint application, but I may be wrong.
Has anyone been in this situation? Please help.
