So because you have power cuts you will not adopt new technologies?

Which kind mumu you be?

Even India has power cuts and it hasn’t stopped them from doing anything, including going to space.

A quick rundown of what this artificial intelligence institute will do will be fine. Grooming of local skills, setting up an artificial intelligence platform or laboratory so that most people don't have to use sage maker in aws or Google AI or Azure. Setting up AI clusters or agent businesses in the east. Assisting with venture capital or start up capital for startups.

This institute if well managed will create the next 100 millionaires and billionaires in the east.

AI is already a game changer creating billionaires in open AI , Claude, Curso, invidia, copilot etc

If a tree doesn’t make a forest, then how can this initiative work sustainably without Alex Otti and the 17 Abia LGA chairmen having all children in free primary, vocational and secondary schools?

Does any brilliant person know HOW this is possible

application was made in 2017, and it took the government four years to establish that “it is in the national interest to have such an advanced facility.”

What a lengthy time. That's how innovations die in the minds of Nigeria's innovators because of bottlenecks put by government officials.

Let it not end up like his Aba Geometrics. Aba no dey get light again since this guy took over power distribution in Aba yet they keep extorting us every month with unreasonable estimated charge!
Imagine, no light for a total of 50 hours in a month yet one is given an estimated billing of over 30k per flat.

That idea resides only in your mind
Geometrics is still functional and it didn't die in the pipe line like your statement suggest

He has already built his power station which now currently powering Aba, so electricity will be the least of his problems, if he decides to set up this AI institute in Aba

Nnaji could not make any meaningful impact when he was the power minister. He even said witches are responsible for power failure in Nigeria. cheesy

He should remain in the private business and research because he is obviously not a politician. Best of luck to him.

Barth Nnaji remains the best power Minister in this country. He has proven himself both in govt and outside govt.

Oga pls stop lieing. Geometrics is supplying constant light to all the places they have metered. Yes the unmetered areas dont have much supply because of absence of meters. That is a serious business and you dont expect them to be sending light where they cant measure actual quantity of electricity consumed.

Barth Nnaji is one of the best minister of power we'd have had, but GEJ listened to bad counsel and sacked him to please the power cabal who do want us to live in perpetual darkness.

I remember this man during Goodluck Jonathan's tenure.
He and one Akwa Ibom man...One Professor Ita Ewa for science and technology ministry.
Both of them are wizards in the field of Nuclear Physics and Robotics Science and energy respectively.
When we say Prof, nah them be that.
No be by just title.

The kind innovation wey two of them as Minister of power and Minister of Science and Technology respectively been done bring come for Power sector and science and technology sector no be here..oo.
If to say evil politicians allow them to work,by now Naija for follow dey scientifically developed map of the world.
But for where?
They frustrated them till then used their hands to resign and run away back to their classroom to have peace of mind.
Since then those sectors don dey fall beyond repairs.
