Shouldn't African presidents be ashamed of themselves, especially when they travel abroad and see the level of development and civilization out there but can't come back home to replicate the same here? angry

The problem has always been the southwest and their love for media propaganda.

They call themselves sophisticated humans .. and most times .. to reason sophisticatedly becomes a problem .. even when is staring at them.

Remember how this matter was dragged even on this site .. with Gbagbo supporters being called names .. egghead , passingshot and other monikers were supporting what they tag .. democracy.. yet none has been to Ivory Coast and understand the people .. and what they want

Same thing happens in Niger republic.. and same people were everywhere bragging on how Tinubu will invade the country …till the people start making mockery of Tinubu.. people of another country..

Anyways .. like I say.. is the people that chose propaganda over reality that are easily deceive ..
they did it to GEJ.. and today all is suffering .

We don’t need our own VOA OR BBC ..

We need a government that appreciate reality over all this propaganda nonsense

Look at Burkina today.. are they not doing better despite their economy..

Southwest wants to be more British than the British

the most obstacles that blocked the development of most West African sahelian States and North Africa and even Northern Nigeria is France. I hate this country with passion, they are the worst former colonial master ever in Africa, they can assassinate, killed, incite civil war and even commit outright murder on African leaders who challenged them, France position in sahel is similar to American position in the middle east they will never want peace in these regions so that they can continue to loot.

By far the most selfless and purposeful leader to walk the face of this continent in recent history. Sankara was Very very patriotic, very very resourceful. Africa lost a gem there.

And most people think it is always easy to replace such leaders. It is not. Getting the right leader to occupy the right position at the right time can be very tricky. It is like having Messi or maradona in every Argentine world cup team. It's a generational thing. Seldom happens twice in a lifetime.

That's why when people like this are killed, the country starts to flounder around. Whether it is Sankara, Lumumba, Nkrumah or even Gaddafi. Assassinating the political prophets of any given society, has always been the surest path to destroy such societies.

It even gets worse when they are replaced with the Campoares, Mobutos, Bokassas and Eyademahs of this world. Characters that won't qualify as gardeners at the presidential compound being foisted on the country by western powers as leaders.

The west has been ruthless in Africa.
Look where the countries are at now.
Africans, we lack dignity, taking wealth and position over patriotism.

Walking gingerly behind Sankara in that picture was one Blaise Campoare. He will go ahead to kill his friend Sankara months later, at the behest of the West, especially the then french president Francois Mitterrand. That event set Burkina Faso back by almost 50 years. Blaise Campoare was later chased out of power after almost 30 years as the president of Burkina Faso. There is no significant progress made by Burkina Faso under his rulership.

He is now living comfortably in exile in Cotedvoir. That was after the same french chased out Gbaagbo and imposed a lackey in the person of Alassan Quattarra as the president of Cotedvoir. Quattarras ancestry can be traced to, guess where.... Burkina Faso! And who was used to train and support the forces who invaded from northern Cotedvoir (Southern Burkina Faso) to arrest and disgrace Gbaagbo out of power? Blaise Campoare!

Another dead brain.. Everything na west cause am... Jesus you blacks are seriously demented.... Take responsibility for once in this pathetic life

Some naira landers are well informed. I am impressed brother. I am one of those cheering how gbagbo was humiliated out of office so that quatarra can be installed then. Now I know better.

MadPolitician:

And you know what's very painful in all these? It is the fact that Nigeria and Nigerians were always going out of the way to support some of this imperialist agendas very vociferoussly. You remember how most Nigerians were cheering on as the French special forces under a racist Sarkozy stormed the Ivorian presidential Palace and dragged out Gbaagbo and his wife in the most humiliating way possible. American special forces under Obama were also involved too.

Meanwhile Nigerians whose political agenda/news are set by a mercenary press domiciled along the Lagos Ibadan expressway, were far more upset with Gbaagbo than most Ivorians. We thought we were fight for democracy. Most Nigerians don't know that the the most prominent media houses in this country, are owned by western intelligence agencies, and that most of these folks fronting as local owners, are nothing but local proxies. It is the same thing with the banks.

But why were Nigerian so pissed with Gbaagbo to the extent that a bemused Goodluck Jonathan gave his go ahead for NATO forces to demolish the Ivorian presidential Palace? It was because the presidential elections in that country was said to have been rigged by Gbaagbo and NATO wanted Gbaagbo to respect regime term limits and leave office.

Well, right now Alassan Quattarra is in the middle of an unconstitutional third term! And you hear no whimper from Paris. He has finished serving his two terms and continued with a third term and the French are his biggest supporter!

I remember how we dragged the discussions here then with all these starry eyed Africans who gobble everything thrown at them by the CNN and VOA line hook and sinker, thinking the West was fighting for the Ivorians.

Many Ivorians hate Nigerians because of that event and.moay of those supporting Quattarra are from the northern part of the country that shares the aake ethnic background with lost of Burkina Faso.

We really need our own CNN and BBC in this country.

I just hope Buhari's cows have now increased in number from 150 which he claimed they were in 2007, 2011, 2015, and until he eventually used terror and violence to become the Nigerian president in 2019.

You remind me of how the West under developed Africa

I hear those who say Africa must take responsibility for herself. That is true.

Unfortunately, the insects inside the house destroy the house faster than the bulldozers outside. Africa can only develop if the leaders love the land and people more than a few pennies or love for power which will make them puppet leaders.

They - African Leaders are not Patrotic and those that are- always fell apart by the Agents of the West,e.g Mur/ Mohammed of Nigeria,Thomas Sankara,Murma Gaddafi, etc
Today, even the Incoming American President ( Trump)- has promised hell on the Immigration, though termed ' the illegal Immigrants!
But they have been contributing their best to the Country - after many years, yet you still called them immigrants!
Most of the African Leaders are Agents of other Continents,as they are always working against their Countries Interest,e g Corruption is rife
