Una do disco plus r and b for decade since the 80ties yet no recognition. It is Afrobeat, and singing in Yoruba, Igbo plus pidgin etal, that has now established Nigeria a global music giant with our artist selling out world-famous arenas like 02. Our guy could be relying on the video recordings he would have access to, after the meeting. May be that’s why he was not bordered. More so, he could have someone jotting on his behalf.

But the Indian lady may be thinking she won’t have access to the recording the way she would want.

We have many pressing things in Nigeria than this pettiness.
Nigerian youths should forget about who won or lost in 2023 election and think of how they can strategize to take the country back in 2027.

Everybody knows that, politically, all we read on social media these days are brewed by that 2023 election and it has further divided the country on tribal grounds.

On NL here, some commenters have created that anxiety disorder for some commenters that to open a political thread and read becomes a fearful thing due to bï.gôtrÿ or 3aibalistic commentaries that would follow such thread.

It’s good our Mods too know what to bring to fp. I am aware they are trying to drive traffic to this site and make more money in whatever means but the toxicity keeps getting higher and higher on every fp post.

We are here to learn and get enlightened and get informed and to make constructive suggestions on posts we read here.

One would imagine how a post that doesn’t even have to do with a tribe, region, sect or religion would, suddenly, be derailed.

Lite and fun-filled banters are welcomed but not all this we witness from 2023.

I guess some forces, both home and abroad, are on this site and are instigating users.

In fact ALL that Tinubu and Modi were doing there was exchanging pleasantries. Leaders do not engage in serious discussions sitting like that for the camera. That was just an informal situation.

Here was a recent meeting between UAE and Egyptian leaders. None of their aides is writing anything.

who are the aides in the picture you shared?

how did you come to the conclusion that "ALL that Tinubu and Modi were doing there was exchanging pleasantries"?

were you privy to the meeting?

Lord Lugard, the former governor-general of Nigeria, in 1926, wrote his unfiltered thought about Nigerians. From his book, The Dual Mandates, come these excerpts: "In character and temperament, the typical African of this race-type is a happy, thriftless, excitable person, lacking in self-control, discipline, and foresight. Naturally courageous, and naturally courteous and polite, full of personal vanity, with little sense of veracity, fond of music and loving weapons as an oriental loves jewellery. His thoughts are concentrated on the events and feelings of the moment, and he suffers little from the apprehension for the future or grief for the past. His mind is far nearer to the animal world than that of the European or Asiatic, and exhibits something of the animals' placidity and want of desire to rise beyond the state he has reached.

"Through the ages, the African appears to have evolved no organised religious creed, and though some tribes appear to believe in a deity, the religious sense seldom rises above pantheistic animalism and seems more often to take the form of a vague dread of the supernatural. He lacks the power of organisation, and is conspicuously deficient in the management and control alike of men or business. He loves the display of power, but fails to realize its responsibility - he will work hard with a less incentive than most races. He has the courage of the fighting animal, an instinct rather than a moral virtue. In brief, the virtues and defects of his race -type are those of attractive children, whose confidence when it is won is given ungrudgingly as to an older and wiser superior and without envy. Perhaps, the two traits which have impressed me as those most characteristic of the African native are his lack of apprehension and his lack of ability to visualize the future"

Guys lets discuss the thoughts of Lord Lugard. he had  a supremacist view obviously. But is he right in the way he describes Nigerians and Africans in general? How many of the issues that he raises are valid?

Letz get some responses

STFU.

AFROBEATS IS BIG TODAY BECAUSE OF OBASANJO, who in the year 2000 ordered radio stations to play 60% indigenous music or be shut down.

This led to a surge in demand for local artistes, and the rest is history.

WHEN OBASANJO GAVE THAT ORDER, Nigerians insulted him and called him a dictator.

Today you see the results of that order.

Nigeria is a world music powerhouse.

AND YOU NEED TO STOP LYING BY CLAIMING THAT O2 Arena and other venues sold out by Nigerian superstars are filled with diaspora Nigerians and their friends.

You are right in your knowledge. Europe is actually a sub-continent of Eurasia. Of course like everything else, they distort the reality to make themselves look greater than they really are.

Even the so-called “Middle East” (so named in the 19th century by some English idiot) is historically NORTHEAST AFRICA.

In antiquity that entire region was BLACK.

Even the entire Europe was once BLACK.

It was even BLACK AFRICAN MOORS that took education and literacy to Europe, and ruled large parts of Europe for nearly 1,000 years up till the 15th century, pulling them out of their ‘Dark Ages’, and into the ‘Renaissance’, WHICH WAS THE SPRINGBOARD FOR THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION.

It was BLACK AFRICAN MOORS who introduced PAPER to Europe, for writing. They introduced the Compass and Astrolabe, without which Europeans could never have sailed the seas as “explorers”.

They owe SO MUCH to African brilliance and ingenuity.

They then used the knowledge we gave them, and then greedily began developing firearms in order to go and invade and loot the then very wealthy Southern Hemisphere of Africa, India, South America etc, conquered them and began brainwashing the people with lies that they were “superior”, when they were nothing of the sort.

Sadly, their poisonous doctrine of racist lies continues to hold sway among the descendants of their victims, but NOT FOR MUCH LONGER, because peoples’ eyes are OPENING to the TRUTH of world history.

If rats and lizards is a sign of misery and those who feed on them are the ones feeding you, then what is the depth of your misery? Use your brain na.
You're already a slave to mongols. Just cause they don't have a noose round your neck doesn't mean you should feel better. A report said every Nigerian is owing N620k. If just 50% of it is from Asian countries, it means it will take you ten months of starving to offset your portion of the loan owed to your Asian masters based on your 30k monthly income.
See how I have to break down stuff to the level of a simpleton for you now. I've told the owner of this forum there's a need for setting minimum iq requirement for access here.
