If that tax bill pass ndigbo should prepare to leave Nigeria, wee can never be a slave to anyone in Nigeria, if tinubu government think he will use the hard earned igbo money for his own and yeruba benefits wee will leave Nigeria for them.

If tinubu tax nonsense is to target igbo business man and women it will not work.

He should tell his lazy people to go and work hard, he should stop that nonsense.

No body can force us .

I blame Igbos living in Lagos for all these nonsense. They have been lukewarm for a very long time. They allowed Tinubu as the governor, together with his handpicked successors to load them with heavy taxes.

They never complained. They never agitated. Never fought back. Tax upon taxes by the Lagos government on thousands of Igbo businesses over the years in Lagos, emboldened Tinubu to think he can eternally turn the whole Igbo race into a platoon of tax paying slaves.

What he wants to do is to have traders vomit all their hard earned profits through all sorts of tariffs, rates, charges and endless taxes. They're not interested in building a society that works on hard work. They're rent seekers who are trying to force traders to subsidize their penchants for greater owanbeism.

This must never be allowed to succeed.

Please be patient till the census.

2027 will likely be an indirect contest between Russia and France. Please be patient . Nigeria appears to be quietly and slowly crawling back to 1967 the only difference is that igbos should not put themselves on the menu.

Abeg come and be going already.

FYI, the reason your useless politicians are lying to you about the tax reform bill is because the bill will put an end to other states and regions feeding you.

Let me explain.

Imo state generated only #325 milion Naira as VAT for the year ending 2023 but Imo got a whooping #34bn as its share from the federal purse from VAT contributions
.

That is a over 1,000% of what Imo generated that they got in return.

The entire SE got on average 900% in VAT distribution from what it generated.

So if you like start packing sharp sharp.

Your ever lying politicians are claiming the bill will increase taxes and vat but deliberately ommitted the fact that the tax and vat reform bill is meant to ensure equity in distribution of vat earnings with states keeping 50% of what they generated.

If this bill passed , Imo state will get just over #150 milion and not #34bn.

Even in a scenario that taxes go up but this reform in sharing vat is not addressed, it will benefit your yeast more. So if vat charges are doubled but the unfair sharing formula remains, Imo would get double of the #34bn it got bringing it to #78bn.

As I said, start packing sharp sharp

You Ibo people are liars.

I have never seen such a large bunch of pathological liars .

The north is at least very honest by stating why they oppose the bill in question and it has nothing to do with increasing the tax rate.

The bill is calling for more fiscal control for states tmo generate and keep half of what is generated within its borders.

The northerners are openly admitting that this wont favour them because they don't have the tax base to fill the shortfall if this bill is passed and they are openly begging, crying and threatening against the reform bill.

But here you have these idiots who are lying on why they oppose the tax bill claiming their petty traders are the targets.

FYI, Lagos, Rivers, Delta, Oyo and Ogun generated most of their taxes from the organized sector and not your vagrant petty traders. Your petty traders fall outside the organised sector and within the purview of local government administration and not the State FIRS.

Instead of fools like the OP to question why the northern states allow illegal mining of precious metals and stones that is inadvertently fueling the crisis up north, he is here thinking the presidency has time to waste drafting and sending a bill to specifically target his fellow petty traders.

Is that what they told you?

Mumu, even if you get your dot Biafra , who in their right minds will invest in that future Somalia ?

Any oil you drill from there will need to pass through Nigerian territory for export and we will collect half of what you drill for ourselves. Go and see how South Sudan has to pay half of what they pump out to Khartoum.

And even at so, no one will invest in a place that will be lawless with every idiot claiming right over the oil.

Poverty and iliteracy is your portion.

I lolz.

Even if all nationalities in the SS choose to go on their own , how will that benefit you?

Go and read how my ancestors ensured that they had monopoly of their coast and did not allow your slaving ancestors to sell their own people directly to Europeans.

If you go , you won't be missed.

Then why don’t you tell you lawmakers to start the agitation in a proper way?

Why is Peter Obi still focusing on 2027 elections when he should be agitating for Biafra?

Conduct referendum today and see how they will all vote overwhelmingly to remain in Nigeria.

I have since come to see their agitation as the most fakest movement ever.

Their eyes are locked into Nigeria .

Ignore the idiots.

I like how this adminstration is no longer interfering with their madness and has EFT it for their governors and so-called elders to address it anyhow they want .
