The fuel in Nigeria is premium fuel which is about 3 50 to 400 CFA per gallon in Timbuktu. I know this because I buy this on weekly basis when I was In Ouagadougou where I live 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This confused write chose the cheapest gas price that he can find and jump on it
The price is also not static here in Agadez oh, it can go from that 2 70 CFA to over 300 CFFA grin within a week.

What he said is a dumb comparison. The average monthly rent for a two bedroom apartment in the US is $1300, converted to Naira that should be around 26 million naira a year.
If you pay mortgage the monthly average is $2200 a month and this should be around 45 million naira a year.
Is this what we spend on accommodation in Nigeria? He is comparing apples to oranges.
Your one year mortgage in the US will buy you a decent house in Nigeria.

Understand his point. You guys are desperate to counter him because he is saying the fact.
What he pointed is this that lie that you people put that Western world don't pay subsidies and that petrol there is more expensive than Nigeria doesn't cut it, because even in the West there is subsidies on petrol.

It's been $4.77 and more here in California for more than a year. They should stop the comparison.

Do you think petrol price in Nigeria is proportionate to the income of the average Nigerian?

Oga stop this comparison with Georgia, because the same Nigeria with $30billion is plagued with corruption and as such the budget is not fully utilised. Compare it with Georgia.

And stop assuming I am defending corrupt government, oga.

At first, tell the FG to pay the same minimum wage the Americans are being paid to have a balanced equation. Stop being petty.

At the end of the day, the budget would need to be somewhere around 100 billion dollars or much more for that to happen

You guys don't get it. Nigeria is broke. What even makes matter worse is that stealing happens on top of the brokeness. Plus, we rely on oil, which at most can feed a nation of 10 million , not 230 million and growing.

That is what happens when your drink oyinbo urine like Kool-aid - you become a slave. Tinubu and our leaders since the 70's have all been slaves to the West, IMF etc....

Imagine, our sharp African warrior Gadaffi had petrol cheaper than water in Libya. None of our African traitors complained when the US paid for an insurgency against him.

Stop propaganda and lies. Oga Nigerian fuel is not premium at all.
Really, so where in Nigeria do people driving high end cars get their own petrol?
Everyone in Nigeria regardless of what they drive buy their petrol from the same station at the same price.
Here in the US, if you drive high end cars, you have to choose Octane 93 petrol which cost more or else your car will break down.
Go and verify.
People driving RR, Rangers Rover, Mercedes and other high end cars in Nigeria are using the same petrol in Nigeria.
That's not the case here in the US.

If you use that 2 70 petrol in your RR or Mercedes, it will break down.

Which fuel in Nigeria is premium. You better keep quiet and stop writing rubbish. Most imported fuel in Nigeria are the cheapest products available.
Why do you think they bring them from places like Malta

Don't mind the idiot.
Go to NY and the rest of the NE corner, you will run.
He deliberately chose the cheapest price to compare. But he forgot that premium price in Atlanta around 4 dollars which is what rhey sell to all Nigerians.
The 2.70 is for cheap 87 octane fuel.
Not suitable for all cars.
Did you read what he wrote? He clearly wrote that it is one of the cheapest and also actually mentioned California in his writeup. Go back and read before making offpoint comments.
The fuel in Nigeria is about the cheapest. It comes from countries like Malta, Netherlands etc and not the US so will be cheaper to buy than what you have in US

For the record, Georgia budget was 38 billion dollars for 11 million people

Nigeria has about 200 million people. Our budget is 30 billion dollars or less.

And Kperogi expects that we can afford subsides on that amount?

Plus fuel consumption in Georgia is probably less than in Nigeria.

But see how our political elites indulge in luxuries? The monies that are meant for reasonable projects that will favour u and I are appropriated to frivolities...Bro this is not good, na u n I dey suffer am. Come to think of it, are we suppose to pay for any Nigerian Presidents or political office holders meals, furnish their toilet, toiletries na heavy money?? Nawa oh! Frankly speaking, it pains me as a Rivers man to pay for a litre of fuel at such a high price, while monies are being wasted by these people, am talking of all political office holders no exemption. If we pay the most, then why is petrol still being smuggled from Nigeria to other West African countries ? You people should use common sense nah.
