Ashawo, betting, politics, kidnapping, amnesty, banditry. These are some of the things we like and spend a lot of time & resource on but they don't improve GDP or the economy. |

LegendHero: It's only Algeria that I can say have promising future. Egypt is currently struggling economically due to their new from scratch city in the desert which is not even close to 40% but already took almost their reserves. No reforms is going in South Africa. Just old glory of the GDP 12 Likes |

Obi told them in 2019 ... Borrowing to build infrastructure doesn't grow the economy it won't...costal road for 15 trillion borrowed money for a project that 1) won't create any permanent job 2) won't create any new business transaction 3) won't add to our GDP in any way 4 ) most importantly won't be able to pay for its self ...is pure madness APC is corrupt PDP was corrupt but had competent people handling critical areas of the economy Close to 4 billion dollars was given to banks... That boasted the banking industry and made Nigerians banks go international The bundling of the telecom sector brought millions of job Unbundling of the insurance sector from the banking sector brought thousands of jobs and billions to GDP 50 billion was given to Nollywood given raise to the cinema Nollywood we see today The local content acts was responsible for the raise in Nigerias music industry The Nigerian fashion industry grew rapidly under PDP.. Nigerian fashion week was government sponsored for years before private sector got involved The above are what we call reforms and we saw the results Please can someone anyone tell me a sector of our economy that APC has reformed and grown since 2015 and get 200k 3 Likes |

These countries rebased their economies more recently than Nigeria Nigeria will rebase next year and there’s no way our economy won’t be higher than $700bn The CBN’s unified FX window will also ensure there will be no more FX sales manipulations and the Naira will in no time trade around N1,000/USD thereby further boosting the GDP in USD No economic illiterate should quote me or thunder will faya you and I certainly will ignore you |
