The bill is meant to reform the current tax and vat law to enable states keep 50% of what they generate .

Currently , the sharing formula considers population and landmass in distributing tax revenue .

For example, the SE got 900% of what they generated. Imo state generated only #325mil for the year ending 2023 but got #34bn from the federal purse. This represents an over 1,000% returns to Imo state.

The north is being openly honest that they will all go bankrupt if the reforms scale through but the yeast that even for some odd reason gets a much higher return are l spreading lies on why they oppose the bill citing that the bill specifically targets their petty traders that are scattered everywhere and who are considered outside the organised sector.

Note that Lagos, Rivers, Ogun, Oyo and Delta contributed the highest amount to the tax revenue base and all that money was gotten from the organised sector.

Instead for these ibos to be sincere like the north and tell us that if the bill scales through their parasitic states will go bankrupt, they are allover social media spreading lies on what the bill intends to achieve which is true fiscal autonomy and responsibility to states.

Let’s all go our separate ways so we know who needs trade and commerce or who has the capacity to control commerce,but I am very sure you are not ready for that discussion!

2)in what capacity are you able to say that SE got presumably higher fro the federal purse?

3)since the most of VAT generated from your states will remain in your state,what is stopping you from having your own country and let the SE go their way and “suffer” since they don’t generate nothing to the federal purse?

4)why is the opinion of SE so important to you in respect of the tax reform bill? Na by force ?

5)since every state now has the opportunity to keep the bill of their generated VAT,why can’t the state collect all and remit fed % to the federal purse? Unless of course the govt wants to continue Robbing the rest of nigeria with over bloated fake IGR,and VAT to foot their bills!!

6)why can’t they also reform the revenue generated from oil and gas states,let osun,OYO,Kano etc use their generated revenue to run their states and let SE states use theirs to run their states?

This is just as the VAT ruling secured by Rivers and Lagos state met dead silence from your yeast.


The fact that obi is even playing dumb and deaf is proof that the SE is ashamed to admit that this bill is not in their favour as it will end the parasitic dependence.

have made a mountain of this but when they saw that their condemnation of the bill will only expose their duplicity in still wanting to benefit from other parts of Nigeria while seeking to leave Nigeria, made those ones silent.

Your leaders silence is out of shame that their region benefits more from Nigeria than it gives out.

It will put the SE in a more lowered negotiating position if they all come out to condemn a bill that seeks to end their parasitism

My efforts to counter them here on this thread and across other threads they created to vilify this bill has made them now to retrace their steps by denying outrightly that they do not oppose the bill.

You must counter them immediately before their lies take root like the stubborn weed ideology of Ibo Zionism and victimhood coupled with the dangerous Ibo supremacist that has messed their perception of reality.

Are you scared of facing the north that have openly rejected the bill through their reps? Address that first then you can find out if the SE cares about the bill or not..

You should also agree with me that thesame bill reform should be replicated in the oil generation industry and revenue sharing ..

Also I asked you,is it not better to fight for your own country so that SE won’t be a parasite to you anymore,OYO,ogun,osun,Kano,sokoto will all get to keep 100% of their generated revenue.

A situation where Imo contributes only #325million as VAT but gets over #34bn as its share through the current sharing formula will of course be staunchly protected by you in the SE.
