In 1954, for having sympathy for the National Council of Nigerian Citizens ( NCNC), a pre-colonial era party formed by Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe and other activists. Oba Adeyemi II was deposed and set into exile. He was exiled by Awolowo because he supported Dr Azikiwe.

All the plans of Azikwe would have made Nigeria better

The most revered King of yoruba land - ‘Alaafin Adeyemi Adeniran’ was dethroned and exiled by Chief Obafemi Awolowo in 1955…
This humiliation came because he openly showed support for a National party NCNC, formed by an Igbo man - Nnamdi Azikiwe.

They have always been afraid of Igbo dominance and influence, that they resort to scapegoating the Adeyemis and Farotimis, for not siding with their bigoted agenda…

Awolowo is truly the son of his father.

If not for longer throat, how can you leave your region and start coming down to SW to govern them? Thank you once again High Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo for helping us to avoid see finish.

Yorubas and Igbos have always been political enemies, always will be.

It's one of the many reasons why both tribes have no business being together in one country

The NCNC was formed by Herbert Macaulay and not Azikiwe.

Yorubas voted for the NCNC because of Herbert Macaulay but he died a day to the main election.

This saw to Azikiwe becoming the automatic head of the party -a situation that would have seen an ibo man lord over the Western Region.

Awo went into action and got Yoruba MPs to defect to the AG thus killing Azikiwe's ambition of lording over his betters.
Azikiwe was then chased out and told to go back to his yeast that he belongs to .

Awo did no wrong.

You guys didn't want Biafra... You're only looking for a cheap way to get to Aso Rock. If Ojuku really wanted Biafra, he wouldn't have go and rub Nigeria central bank in Edo State, after robbing the bank, he and his soldiers face SW coming down to Lagos to seize the region. Tell me exactly why your coward ojuku went to steal at CBN and still running to Lagos?

The Yoruba and Ibo perception of what an independent Nigeria vision are totally different.

While Yorubas wanted the British gone to end the exploitation and subjugation, the Ibos saw an independent Nigeria in continuation of British colonial rule but with ibos instead as the rulers.

It's that colonial mindset that Azikiwe audaciously used in attempting to rule over western Nigeria.

It is that same colonial mindset that saw to the Ibo coup of 1966 to dominate and rule over the polity in a centrist military dictatorship.

That mindset is still in the Ibo till this day and you see it in IPOB expansionist agenda, Ibo politicians overlapping interests and contesting positions in Lagos and in Ibo Zionism that supports the colonial settlers in Palestine.

The irony here is that this ibo colonialism don't know their mates.

That's why you must remind them of their primitive origins so as to dispel their supremacist ideology that is tied and dyed in Ibo Zionism .
