One of the boats came first to scout the suspicious boat.

It was after the confirmation that they sent more boats...but by that time UDC was in the water. The whole thing took about a minute because The Jackal was even counting seconds.

For the security personnel, it's harder than you think.

When there's a sniper shooting from so far out that you can barely see him, unless you're suicidal, you can't just jump in and die for nothing like the previous guard.

I think what the security should have had is a way to deploy a smoke screen. This would have been the most effective way to counter a sniper.

If they had several smoke launchers on ground, they could fire some into the water, but at least before they land, some of the smoke could disperse in the air to block the sniper's vision

I thought of this also, but I read smoke grenade can't go off in water, which makes your point make sense, opening it before it reaches the water.

Also, even if the extra Jet Skis can't stop the death, the fact that dey can and will close in on him will before he leaves the water, would have made the Jackal hesitant cos he won't get a clean getaway.

Surely, a man like UDC should be able to afford security personnel that can think on their feet , Not one devoid of ideas to save him when it counts.

The day of the jackal episode 9 is a solid 8/10 for me.
This is a peak and a very intensed episode.
The killing of Udc was inevitable, immediately he got into the water, that was it!! There was no escaping at all.
If not for the little disturbance that the jackal encountered, all it could have taken to kill Udc was a single shot.

My own concern is that the jackal has made a mistake by killing the Spanish gangster his brother in law wanted to introduce him to, that has now shifted the eyes of international police and Mi6 to Spain and the location and definitely his brother in law will be interrogated.
I will like to see how he will get out of that one and coupled with the fact that Udc securities are giving him the chase of his life.

Perhaps he already planned a way out with his wife ( she loves him too much to leave him) so i guess we will have to find out in the episode finali next week.

Also, one of the major things I didn't like in Korra was the focus on the use of technology. Tech robots and the likes... completely ruined the atmosphere.

If this one is set even in the further future, one can only wonder how more futuristic it would look.

The question then would be what use the Avatar would be in a technologically advanced society when Robots were already strong enough to counter Korra in LOK.

What purpose would the Avatar serve in such a society especially when the Avatar is a 10 years old girl in a futuristic world where her powers have become archaic....

And worse still, the only wisdom she can tap into is that of the worst Avatar in history - Korra

Let's see how the show tackles these...

Or if they'll be more focused on inclusion and rainbow and the message to even bother to write anything tangible.

But most Avatar fans would eat it up even if it's badly written just like Arcane fans did for Arcane season 2. So maybe the writers don't have to worry much...

Toph was blind and Ming Hua had no arms but you draw the line at disabled Avatar.

They don't need a tragic backstory like FMAB to do it right.

Toph didn't need a tragic backstory for her blindness. They just told us she was born blind.
Of course her rich parents thought she was weak and helpless but that's hardly a tragic backstory compared FMAB.
Everybody that watched the show loved Toph and there's potential to recapture that magic again with an amputee Avatar.

Toph is the perfect blueprint, they don't need to copy FMAB.

Ming Hua was an amputee and she didn't even get a backstory.
Nobody cared because she's badass.

There's nothing wrong with an amputee Avatar.

We had disabled little girl and an armless water bender kicking ass and we loved it.

I just need them to make her an earth bending prodigy like Toph despite her physical condition. Nobody wants to watch a weak helpless Avatar.

I only brought up FMAB because in the concept art, her leg was made of wood. It should be platinum.

See as Alvaro werey don out the Jackal for wahala. After all the money he stole, he still wants to introduce Alex to gang life. I know Bianca isn't even going to Croatia, na straight to Spain and that Alvaro go fork up for the interview. Too sure. Too bad for Alex, blud wanted to maintain work/life balance but not anymore.

Now that ending:

While the execution from Alex was flawless, the response from the security team is questionable

After identifying that there is a gunman on the boat, if they had sent out all or should I say some of the speed boats and jet ski they had, not sending one by one, that would have thrown Alex off, just as they did when the delivery boat for supplies came.


As a security personnel, part of the job is to take bullet for your client, Oloshi head of security dey tell UDC to stay under water as na fish e dey. Baba dey fear for his life, but as soon as UDC collect bullet, na den Baba remember to dive inside water.
