What disquiet is he causing. The north should know that this country belongs to everyone and they cannot dictate the direction of the country to the president especially when he is a southerner. If they want their own country let them come out and it will be given to them.

Your own enemies cannot be our own enemies. If you like his support for Gaza and Islamic stuffs but when it comes to a secular laws and country you want to say no. It's high time you realize that this country is secular country.

Every Nigerian should be troubled. France was kicked out Niger. Why?...how many years were they they there as "investors"? ... in a bilateral relationship? ..what did France gain?...what did Niger gain? ...or lose? Now they have been kicked out...they are coming to Nigeria...why?....no more blood from Niger so why not come to Nigeria?.... and bribe their way to get contracts signed in the name of bilateral agreements which in reality will be exploitation? They have just sold us fighter jets. Is it to use Nigeria as a base to launch an attack on Niger? I wouldn't be surprised... they and the US are not at all pleased with Niger and no longer have them as puppets. Let's look at the broader picture..... Tinubu is about to give up our natural resources.

So, North dictates how our foreign policy options should be. Who to romance with or not.

Buhari was in power for 8 years. Northern elites never criticized him for once. It was padi padi government.

Nigeria is sharply divided along ethnic and religious lines. South is not one because Yorubas believe they're in power and should call the shot only. Hence the names calling and gratuitous insults against the Igbos.

South West should carry the cross alone because of their politics of hate.

Nevertheless, I support Tinubu in his efforts to enthrone True fiscal federalism in the country.
Because North with their born to rule mentality Will now understand that leadership is not their birthright.

Why would you not need a friend like France, a major player in global sphere?
I know most francophone countries are reexamining the relationship, but that doesn’t mean we can’t utilise it to our benefits. We export to them, we want the return of Peugeot, we want some of their military hardwares, we want their expertise in Agriculture, etc. They want our solid minerals and they think we are essential partner in the fight against terrorism and illegal migration to Europe.

In international politics, have as many friends as you can. Nothing is personal, it’s strictly self interest and business.

France still acts like a colonial master in West Africa, holding on tight to its former colonies. Unlike Britain, which works quietly in the background, France is very open and aggressive about keeping control. Now that Tinubu and Macron seem to be getting close, it’s raising serious concerns, especially in Northern Nigeria.

The North has good reasons to be worried. Many of the countries that recently kicked France out—like Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso—are neighbors, and the North shares cultural and family ties with them. If Tinubu looks like he’s siding with France, it could create a lot of tension.

France’s military actions in the region haven’t helped either. They’ve been accused of stirring trouble while pretending to help. If Tinubu allows France to use Nigeria as a base or as a tool to push their agenda, it could backfire badly, especially in the North.

Tinubu needs to be smart here. Nigerians, especially Northerners, are watching closely. Whatever deal he’s making with France, he must ensure it benefits Nigeria and doesn’t make us look like we’re helping France’s colonial ambitions.

This is a time for careful planning, not cozy friendships that might hurt Nigeria in the long run.
