John Mahama's Return To Power And The Dele Momodu Effect As Agent Of Change by Itopalucky(m): 9:33am On Dec 08 |
By Issa Itopa Lucky Dele Momodu who is famous for usually standing by the opposition in an election has done it again. His Excellency John Mahama, the opposition candidate in the recently concluded Ghana Presidential election has emerged President-elect of Ghana and is set for a second term as Ghana's President, in a rather unbelievable twist of fate, after exiting the Presidency of Ghana in 2017. While congratulations are in order in Ghana in the light of the recent victory of John Mahama in the recently concluded Ghana Presidential election, one unsong hero in the conversation yet is the man named Dele Momodu. Much as John Mahama's return to Presidency in Ghana is a great win for the people of Ghana, one very important detail in the struggle for the soul of Ghana, a struggle that led to the victory of John Mahama is the behind-the-scene efforts of Dele Momodu. All through the campaigns, Dele Momodu dared the doubting Thomases, withstood trolls and defied the odds and stood strongly by his friend, John Mahama inspite of the fact that the leading party in the build up to the election had a candidate and a vested interest to want to retain power in the election as against letting John Mahama stand at a chance at the polls at all. In fact, if there be a list of the first ten people to believe that John Mahama will stand a chance at the Ghana 2024 Presidential poll, Dele Momodu is among the first five. In what seemed like an impossibility, Dele Momodu who, moved by conviction and the love for the struggle for a better welfare for the people, moved in a rather daring fashion to support and stand by John Mahama and showed him off as the best option to the people of Ghana, right from the pre-primary stage till the very last Ghanaian voted. Dele Momodu fondly called "Chief Dele Momodu" has installed Governors and Presidents especially in Nigeria and in Ghana. He has done this via his media platforms as one of the most-followed media personalities in Africa. Dele Momodu is a man of conviction. He is usually moved by the need for positive change in any setting and today, he has done it in Ghana, he has installed positive change in Ghana. It is safe to say that Dele Momodu has attained status of a "king-maker" but yet he is the type who likes to make things happen from a distance while yet always on the move to make the next greatness a reality. He is not one to drag the spotlight. He is an agent of change and he is never stuck in one spot for long. He delivers positive change and he moves to wanting to deliver the next where need be already, as a man who is daring and thirsty to make the world a better place via positive changes. He is a very humble but yet very determined personality. The wind of positive change currently blowing across Ghana this morning, after God Almighty Himself, humanly speaking, Dele Momodu is to thank for it. Dele Momodu believed in the John Mahama brand even when John Mahama himself was yet to be fully convinced that his victory is sure this time. That is who Dele Momodu is. He believes in you and he gives his all to support you till the very end, like he just did for John Mahama in the Ghana Presidential election. We, friends of Ghana from Nigeria, wish the people of Ghana the very best under the John Mahama second term Presidency. We are hopeful that the positive change that Ghanaians voted for, will come to life as John Mahama takes the reins of power for the second time in Ghana. Congratulations to the good people of Ghana. God bless Africa. Source: https://naijagg.com/john-mahamas-return-to-power-and-the-dele-momodu-effect-as-agent-of-change-sweeping-across-africa/

Bobloco:GEJ can't contest in a presidential election in Nigeria. He's not alone though, Buhari and OBJ can't also contest in a presidential election in Nigeria. |

Bobloco:He was sworn in as the president after the death of Yardua and after he won reelection. No Nigerian can be sworn in as the president of Nigeria or the governor of any state more than twice. Aiyedatiwa can't contest in the next governorship election in Ondo state again because he was sworn in as the governor of Ondo state after the death of Akeredolu and he will be sworn in for the second time in February 2025, so he's automatically disqualified from partaking in any governorship election in Ondo state. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/271662-buhari-signs-bill-limiting-tenures-of-vice-presidents-deputy-governors-who-succeed-principals.html?tztc=1 https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/new-law-stops-vp-who-completes-presidents-tenure-from-contesting-twice/%3famp Buhari signed the law back in 2018. Paraman:You are right on the law Buhari signed, but that law can still be voided by the court as it's against the spirit of the constitution on 2terms. One of such laws was also voided during GEJ'S tenure, a law was passed that the court can't declare a winner in an election, rather, inec should conduct another election, the court nullified that aspect of the law and the court pronouncement stood. If GEJ or and other interested party should challenge this too, the court will expunged it |

Praising Dele Momodu for Mahama's victory is myopic and ikl informed. We Ghanaians are tired of NPP and JM was not the underdog in this fight. Ghana voted, Ghana won |
