4 episodes into SILO season 2 and the pacing is becoming a serious problem.

I watch an entire episode and it feels like everything that happened could have been done in 10 minutes.

Barely anything is getting revealed. Half the episode is dûmb Silo politics or useless Sheriff investigation that goes nowhere since he can't do anything to Judicial.

I thought the whole Juliet thing would take at most 3-4 episodes before she's back in her former Silo. But now we are at episode 4 and it feels like it will take the entire season before she gets there...

With the way they are slowly setting up things, it feels like Juliette will return at the last minute to stop the Rebellion just when they are about to go outside...

If the season ends like this, it would be a pointless season.

It would be even more pointless if the final mystery of the show is something generic like Humans had a nuclear war and the Silos were created as a result...

Judge Meadows hinted at this when she asked the Bernard what the humans in the past did to "lose all these"

If the show somehow ends with the reveal of a nuclear war, it would mean a collosial waste of time

Today isn't the first time I'm watching mystery.

I watched season 1 and was spot on with most of the theories I gave about season 1 here.

But this season 2 is very slow. The first episode was a snorefest. The second better...

But we are 4 episodes in and the series seems to be leading to an obvious point yet it's getting there at snail pace.

If this season is 8 episodes long...ask yourself if what we've been shown so far is really worth half of a season after we waited for season 2

This Black Doves have the most stupid plot. Imagine risking the life of your children just for a man. If it's a black man, I for say maybe na good d**king but na chikko will small pimpin.

It's not a genre issue. The pacing is hellish. Dystopian shows usually have "interesting and engaging plot points" as they build towards the bigger plot line, at least they keep the viewers engaged and interested in the story. But this Silo, nothing important has significantly happened in 4 episodes, that advances the major plot point, which is Juliette, just a bunch of random squabbles that means absolutely nothing. The show been 90% in confined spaces doesn't help it's cause, gets pretty boring quickly, and they have actually lost me cuz Juliette could pretty much wound up dead at this point and i wouldn't be moved, that's how disengaged i am from whatever the F they are trying to do with this season.

I might just seat out these boring phase, and just see the tail end episodes, not out of curiosity tho. There are just too many good shows going on at the moment who are serious to be bothered with this.

Like eh sha has a way of exerting authority even in a room where she is the lowest ranked person. always calm, never raised her voice.
If you can go back and watch her body movement, notice when she enters a room she first stares at the person who opened the door for a longer than you should time like she is just too dominant.

All this makes me appreciate her husband more that man has just what it takes to have such a woman as a wife.

Very funny how perspectives and prejudices can affect entertainment value.

Perhaps it is because of my social sciences academical leanings but I am seeing a lot of plot advancement from where I stand.

Been struggling to turn off fvvking shuffle off the app since yesterday night. I no know which demon advised me to turn on shuffle last week to get a glimpse of the algorithm and my past liked songs. Now I'm bored of shuffle and want to return to my previous control of my music listening, and I can't!
Me wey I don even forget about shuffle button for almost two years now. I don go fvvk up with my experiment.

Spotify be making the experience worse every time and with this their new stüpid changes and foray into videos and podcasts and being the jack of all trades, They've forgotten what made them gold in the first place chasing what's not there, trying to be YouTube. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Will now be forced to seriously consider another music streamer — YouTube Music probably.
A few months ago I was forced to seriously consider how beneficial Spotify was to me — something I hadn't even thought of for years since I fully ported to streaming in 2021. I watched the TV show RIPLEY and was enamoured by a song in particular by Mina— Il Cielo in Una Stanza. Went to YouTube and watched a video rendition of her song in 50s and the audio quality was really good for something that old. Now I moved to Spotify to permanently put it in my playlist and I could easily notice the change in audio quality. I could hardly hear the bass and rich deep background of the song I listened in YouTube or even the TV show itself.

Searched various versions thinking that particular song had problems, but still the same thing. That was the first time I witnessed first hand the talk about Spotify's audio quality being inferior to other streamers. I've always heard about it over the years but gave no heed to it and thought it's overblown by music sound freaks since most of the audio characteristics won't be heard when you're using normal or basic earphones and airpods. Unless with a dedicated good headphone.

Na that day I know say no be just noise. The song sound uninteresting in my ears listening to it in Spotify as it lacked the feels or texture I felt listening to it on other platforms. I had to personally go and downlöad the song into my phone from two different s!tes to perfectly recapture that feeling and sound cos it was criminally lacking in Spotify.

Dem don spoil Spotify walahi.... If they're not careful, they are losing lots of users with this their continuous changes and the app getting worse and inferior compared to others in some metrics.

I switched to Apple Music awhile back because of the superior sound quality and intuitive user. The richness of sound depth between it and Spotify is so far apart, especially if you are listening with a device that supports Dolby Atmos. But then again, Apple Music is pretty shite at curating playlists, and that's where Spotify shines, The have a playlist for almost anything, and that's why i still stick with them.


But i hardly notice any of the complaints you mentioned, that's because i had hardly update the app, as i have clocked that the newer updates for like 1 year plus now, has ruined the experience for most people. So i would advise, you look for an older version apk, from like earlier this year or late last year, and side load it.

Plus switching to Youtube Music is a double edge sword. Whilst is great at all the things that Old Spotify is good at, if you are not on a premium YouTube plan, the experience is terrible, they have this knack of playing video instead of audio, and you can't switch between the 2, and your music stops, when you exit the app or minimize it. Of course you can grab a modded apk, but Google changes the YouTube API so much these days, that it isn't worth the hassle.

Bruh, if not for the top notch curation which no one comes close to, I would have left over a year ago. Spotify's curation is just too good to be left behind. That's why I don't even look at Apple Music at all even with all their Dolby audio and superior sound. I am also averse to anything Apple.


That's the problem with YouTube Music, no background play if not on premium. Tho, I heard on the curation part, it's the bridge between Apple Music's sound quality and Spotify's great curation. Albeit, the few times I tried it few years back I found YouTube Music to be more data consuming. It's a guzzler.

One thing I also h@te about Spotify is that there's no uniformity in album's. During our rave and hype of ARCANE two weeks back I noticed differing albums of the same season 2 music list. Some had more songs than others. Then there's Kendrick Lamar's latest album GNX, I liked some songs in the album but later on noticed in one album I clicked to check out my liked songs in it, I was surprised to see some songs I know I've liked being absent. Only to realise the like songs where in another version of the same album.

Like you said, truly the new updates messed with everything that was good and true. A friend disturbed me about sharing him modded Spotify APK about two months ago to get some features he can't get in his free version. I updated the app to a newer mod version and all hell let loose since then.

I've only updated the modded app a couple times since I've started using it some years back. Updating it I think once earlier this year. But this last 2 months update wey my friend make do ehn, e really pain me. Na one shït storm or another since then.
And painful thing is while I was using the old version then I had little or no complaints. Everything dey work jeje. No new song wey I no go see, only thing I didn't like was when I did an update over a year ago it changed the like icon to the useless checkmark ✅ and I couldn't get lyrics for songs no more. But the recent updates lately got them lyrics back.

Honestly don't know the problem people have with Silo sha.
