Please can you explain what you are saying here?
What is "the hose going into injector mouth"? What is injector mouth? Maybe if I understand these things, I will understand how it relates to temperature gauge.

Injectors are those things that spray fuel into the cylinder for combustion. The only hose (pipe) going into the is the fuel rail. If there's cracks or leaks, petrol will be leaking, not water.

If by injector mouth, you are referring to throttle body, the big hose going into them (intake air duct) carries only air and not water and I don't see how a crack on them affects temperature.

Please explain cos I'm confused.

Hello, I want to install an android screen on my 07 accord, but I keep hearing I should say goodbye to my the sound quality once I do that.

So my question is, is this true? Does installing android screen affect sound quality? Is there anyway to installing the screen and retaining the sound quality?

PS - The speakers are the best thing I love about the car, I will rather leave the default car stereo than tamper with it if there areno way around it

Whoever told you that loves you so much and doesn't want you to waste money.

Those stock stereos are called "Stock" for a reason, because they were tuned by sound producing companies like Mark Levinson, Harman kardon and the like.

Takeaway that stock and you get a less quality sound. But you can still buff your sound by installing some aftermarket amplifiers, but e no still fit be like stock.

I maintained my stock stereo and added a Bluetooth 12v AUX input I got from AliExpress and it serves me right.

if you're in need of gearbox you can search for luvinhubby here on NL, he sells parts in Oyingbo and he's has been very reliable because I've used his service severally.

I've battled this temptation for so long. Seeing those big android screens on other accords is really tempting. But what good is a big screen that plays like a loud android tablet? A sound system that doesn't produce good sound, is that one even a sound system.
Let them keep their android system let me keep my stock sound system (and my money).

Good day, gurus and experienced honda owners. I just got a naija used 2003 Eod i4. Recently I noticed it jerks sometimes when acceleration is 60 nd also makes some sound when shifting gear while driving. The mechanic that helped me check says it's a sensor that need to be changed but the jerking issue still occurs once in a while after changing the sensor. Please help
so as to know what to do. Thanks

How did the mechanic come to the conclusion that the sensor he changed was the cause of the issue?

Please get a place to scan your vehicle and post the codes here so that people can advise you accordingly.

I'd like to say good work. I read your posts and they're always helpful.

I'm trying to get fuel consumption down on my Nigerian used 05 accord. Fans came connected directly and my first course of action was to rectify that. Turns out whoever made that modification didn't bend the leg of the fan relay. After returning it to factory, the ecu doesn't send the required 12 volts to turn on the fans when the temperature rises. I traced the wiring harness from the fusebox to the ECU and there's no break in the wire that handles that function.

Took it to a rewire, he tried turning on the fans with his scan tool. Scan shows on but no response from the fans. His recommendation is an ECU replacement.

I'm considering installing a fan switch on the radiator to control the fan relay as changing ECU will be expensive and might possibly come with immobiliser and key problems. Your knowledge and experience will be appreciated. Thanks

Hmmm. This one strong.
When you said the ECU doesn't send the required voltage, did you test for 12v on the designated ECU pin?
Somehow, I still feel there's something you guys are missing. The chance of your ECU being the problem is very slim, but it is still very possible.
I once had an issue that made me replace my transmission, eventually it was found that it was the ECU. Air conditioner water found it's way to the ECU. But I didn't replace the ECU. I just had it worked on and everything came back to normal. Why not try fixing the ECU before going to outright replacement?

And if you want to go the route of fan switch, I thought of something that could work. You could get the radiator from 03-04 model. It comes with a fan switch, not ECT 2. A good electrician can make that work by looking for power source controlled by your ignition key and then any available ground. The fan switch is just an open-close switch that works with change of temperature and nothing else. It will definitely work. But since your ECU is no longer receiving input from your absent ect2, I don't really know how that will affect your fuel efficiency. Will you actually ever enter closed loop? I really don't know. Added to the fact that you will forever have check engine light for the missing ect2.
I suggest you try another experienced electrician for a better advice.

I just studied the fan circuit diagram below and realized the ECU DOES NOT provide 12v to your fan to work. Your electrician is obviously an olodo.
Looking at the part circled in blue (for 05-06) and red (03-04), the ECU or fan switch only supplies GROUND for the fan relay to work. Without the ground, it won't work.
You can see that in 03-04, the part the ECU will play was replaced by the fan switch. This means that if identify that green wire to the ECU and direct it to the fan switch of the 03-04 radiator as shown in the diagram, your fan will work perfectly.
But before you do that, check for continuity between the radiator fan relay no. 4 pin to the ECU 31pin connector (wire side). There should be continuity.
Also check for continuity of same relay pin to ground when the fan is supposed to be on. There should be continuity when the fan is supposed to be on, if there isn't, then check the ECU fan control pin continuity to ground when the fan should be on.
I hope all these make sense to you.

And for those who claim their fan works without ect2, looking at the circuit diagram, there's no ect2 anywhere in the circuit. So I wonder how your ect2 magically took over the control.

Does you MDX have a factory auxiliary input/USB/bluetooth? If yes, then you can't.

I think it mostly works for Accords, Element, Civic and CRV

The fact that it doesn't request code before switching to Android explains why you think the sound is great.

Let me explain:
When I first got my car, even if I disconnect the battery terminal, it doesn't request for code, not until I had a minor fault in the stereo and I called a Honda stereo specialist. After fixing it, he explained to me that my sound system has been by-passed not to request for code which in turn has tampered with the sound quality. I didn't believe him initially until he did it for just 7k and Boss, the sound was mad after he restored it to factory standard and gave me the code to keep whenever I need to unlock the radio for any reason. I was shocked at that discovery.

I initially used to think my sound system was great not until that guy opened my eyes. Now I can't even increase my volume pass 12 anymore due to the mad ass sound, yet you still feel my car vibrate from outside due to the sound. Initially I always set my volume at 22-26, but now I no fit try am again

I'm sure that you'll also notice the difference in sound production if you find someone with same kind of your car which still has the stereo codes intact.

P.S: I'm an audiophile
