When Someone Gets You A Job, Do You Do This... by MONEY247: 1:12pm On Dec 14, 2024 |
If someone links you to a job.... and you got the job... Must you show gratitude in cash or kind or both as a form of appreciation..... |

MONEY247: A thoughtful gift will do the trick. Avoid giving cash (the person may be richer than you), it might appear a bit insulting. But be warned... A show of appreciation will not get you off the hook so easily. That person owns you for life and you must forever be loyal or else you risk being tagged an ingrate. 1 Like 1 Share |

Showing gratitude when someone helps you secure a job is important, but it doesn’t necessarily have to involve cash or kind unless you feel it’s appropriate or cultural norms suggest so. Gratitude should be genuine and proportionate, not forced or excessive. |

MONEY247:Gratitude should be proportional to your capacity. A heartfelt gesture can mean more than money, regardless of the salary level. |

Villa12:Helping someone financially is noble, but it should be voluntary and within your means, not an obligation. Genuine gratitude and support can take many forms beyond money. |

Re: When Someone Gets You A Job, Do You Do This... by Solofresh2: 6:27pm On Dec 14, 2024 |
Villa12:If you have a skill, use it to help them, e.g., fixing something for them, teaching them something useful, or offering assistancte in areas they may struggle with. Stay in touch and show consistent concern for their well-being. Check on them regularly, as emotional support and kindness can mean a lot. |

Solofresh2:a poor struggling man/woman needs financial help. You may establish a business for them, place them on monthly allowances, help train one or two of their children through school. |

Re: When Someone Gets You A Job, Do You Do This... by Villa12(m): 7:55pm On Dec 14, 2024 |
Solofresh2:Yes, i am struggling but i didn't help you get a well paid job. You helping me is out of your wish because you owe me nothing. A poor man/woman needs financial help not all those things you listed. Financial help is the primary before any other things. If he/she didn't help you with that job,you might likely not get it. One good turn deserves another. Someone helped you with a good job and the person barely feed and you can sleep comfortably? |

Villa12:Am not saying helping such person financially is not good. Just like I stated earlier,it is a noble act. |

People have written well. Mine is study the person that got the job for you. You may need to delay the gratitude and show it later when he or she most likely would have an occasion, or even child's birthday. Because whatever you do for their family member, you have done for them. You can get the child a cake, or the madam a cake. Something that wouldn't reveal your intention and inturn would portray you as a good friend of the family. Don't rush to show gratitude immediately; it isn't a good thing. The immediate gratitude would be to use whatever you have to help the less-privileged and God who is the rewarder of everything will lead you to another helper. My one cent |
