But what was pushing the people selling before?

It's so difficult to understand the behaviour of the market sometimes.

Most people (and media houses) just compare the percent difference between the current year quarterly profits (Q3 2024; N76b) and prior year profits (Q3 2023; N110b), and take their investment decisions based on the 44.7% drop.
They hardly take time to go through other details.

To qualify for the redistribution, I think today is the qualification date?

Yes, but it is strange why there is no mention of the ratio. Could it be because they are not yet sure of the possible outcome of the options under consideration?

They won't want to make mistakes I Blvd.
The ratio should be communicated to all shareholders later.

Also, concerning qualification Date, I think someone raised a suggestion of 5days interval but I'm not sure if it's adopted.

But, there is a clue already. The current 42% of common shareholders will increase to about 65%.

Those that joined the crowd to run out of Oando in the morning wil be regretting by now

Sometimes it's good to ask questions first before joining others to run.

Run first and ask questions later is not always the best option.

What was the amendment to the share distribution that was adopted? Did shareholders opt for cash distribution instead?

There is always a Pre-AGM where money and sometimes gift items are shared to those who will be allowed to speak with the microphone during the main AGM. A lot of persons have made attendance to AGMs their major source of livelihood.

I once met a man who was retired in 2019, he said he was advised to use 500k from his gratuity to open a stockbroking account. Then use it to buy shares in about 200 stocks, then use another 100k to register a shareholders association.

That will keep him busy at retirement and should be able to come home with money after AGM

Is this about Oando?
If yes, why would shareholders opt for cash payment when the company is struggling with cashflow?
Why not bonus shares and then sell the shares for profit?

Oando hitting N73 already
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeeKudi: 1:46pm On Dec 17
I am not sure where they got that from.

A motion was moved and adopted for five days notification for qualification/distribution of the bonus shares. In the process of reading out the amendment, it was read as "bonus shares or money equivalent", what I consider as mere semantics or legal jagon.

designking:
Make Oando hurry up return back to ₦30/₦40 so that we can load more for a long term hold.

For now, forget about Oando doing ₦100. It will oscillate between ₦45 - ₦65 which is ₦20 possible takeout each cycle.

Na clowns full this Oando management. They are not serious for a mega oil Corporation. They should learn from Seplat and Aradel.

grin grin

Go revise your notes. Oando has hit N73 already.
The news about the bonus and other prospects seem to sound good to investors.
