There's no fuel scarcity, the price is still the same.

GIGM charge #38k as at September even in the first week of December it was still at 42k or so and boom from #58k last week to #66k now.

Fuel price is still the same, so what happened?
So the price was less than 40k in September? With the same fuel price, see agreed nah

how much will the company buy fuel to transport them and pay their staff in this your messiah regime? You people will see truth and still be covering it
But someone just posted they were charging 38k as of September and 42k early December. Is it not from the same 38kthey have been paying staff and buying fuel before now?

Transport companies increase their fares almost everywhere in the world to reduce their pressure and discourage people from travelling because almost everyone wants to travel at that time of the year.

As for the increase in fares during the festive season in Nigeria, transport companies argue that passengers tend to only travel out of major cities like Lagos and Abuja, and they always return their buses to such cities empty. As a result, they increase their fares to make up for the loss of returning nearly empty buses to those cities.

In a country where almost nothing is regulated, customers are often the biggest casualties.

I saw the below from GIGM website. How are Nigerians coping , how are corpers and traders coping, what about those with other businesses like burial, weddings etc. This is shocking
These driver's needs to be regulated. Going from Ghana to Nigeria is 77k. And how can they be charging this within the country

How many countries have you visited? From Tarkuradi in Ghana to kumasi is like from lagos to Abuja. Yet it's less the 17k despite then buying fuel at a higher price. What excuse do you people have in Nigeria to hike the price like that?

Blacks are the problem of blacks race, extreme greed is in their DNA, reason I don't want to breed kids in this useless evil contraption until I relocate to a sane country, it's obvious now that we are definitely going backwards due to reducing purchasing power and widening tax net, next year December it will be 100k to Abuja by road and nothing will happen.

Both the executive and legislative arm of government have no empathy towards the people,so far their kids are abroad living their best lives they could care less,

Nigeria has sunk very low economically and until the criminal president is toppled either by hook or crook there won't be any silver lining.

Nigerians are their worst enemies, no doubt!

It's no doubt that inflation occasioned by the removal of petrol subsidy and the unprecedented depreciation of the value of the Naira are to be blamed for the current situation of things, this mad hike in transport fares is most unpatriotic and unjustifiable, to say the least.

That this is happening when the price of petrol is gradually coming down shows that these transport companies are heartless and hellbent on increasing the pains of hapless Nigerians.

Although the policies of the Tinubu administration hasn't made things easy, saboteurs are cashing in with the intent on putting the blame on the government for their insatiable greed.

Nigerians are indeed wicked!
