How is it bad? So how do we drink water then?
Groundwater (from boreholes) often contain pollutants such as Iron and Manganese which may need to be filtered out
Water tables fluctuate and boreholes are increasingly prone to drying up.
Changing water flow by digging bore causes soil problems like landslide, earthquake etc.

If you're in Lagos state, the court is your best bet!

Aside from lekki, Lagos houses are not over-priced. But you see Abuja, a room and parlor at 69 road on gwarinpa goes for 1.5m minus agent, legal and caution fee. Who does that?

Lolz, even you dey do tribalism. What if the OP didn't even vote or is apolitical? What if he's JW? What if he's anti Tinubu? Or you magically think rent and other expenses increase only for people that like the president?

The op is not the only one who elected Tinubu. About 9 million did out of 93 million Nigerians who were registered to vote and 20 million who voted in total.

All those 73 million who sat on their lazy asses and did not bother to vote, in effect and by default helped elect Tinubu, along with the 9 million who actually did vote for Tinubu, and all deserve to suffer along with the entire 250 or so million Nigerians, which includes the thread opener, and we all dutifully do.

Landlord has every right to increase is house, so if he reduce it will you have taken him to court? You have the right to pack out if you don't want to pay, and mind you, you packing out will be faster than when he intentionally give you quite notice.

When you say "Nigerians vote ọmọ wa ni Tinubu," that's tribalism. It doesn't matter your tribe. You clearly imply that Tinubu was voted based on tribe. The OP might be a fellow supporter of Obi, they clearly are not immune.

Are you accusing me a view consistent with my cultural heritage and upbringing?

Before deciding on ọmọ wa ni, ọmọluabi came to mind, but it didn't fit, and I was in a hurry - family Christmas, little time to put the effort into being more perfect - or I might have considered Agbado Emilokan Jagaban, at least and on reflection, and from my tribal perspective, considering how often my Obidient self was told ọmọ ẹní kí ṣe idi bẹbẹrẹ ka fi ilẹkẹ sí idi ọmọ elomiran.

Indeed, tribal, guilty as charged, forgive my tardiness please, though I'd have thought my "along with the entire 250 or so million Nigerians" regardless of tribe or whom one voted for or not including my obvious self who failed to convince enough people to at least consider not continuing with APC, we all dutifully do deserve to suffer if that's what we're doing. Or does the rain decide to not fall on everyone when it pains where you are, and especially on those who lack umbrellas?

Point is, nobody, not any single one of us Nigerians is at all immune from the suffa suffa of being badly ruled. And even if you are immune, you got family who might not be, or neighbour.

No, I mean provide runny potable water. That’s how it was before in the 70s. That’s how it’s in advance countries. Because you have money, that doesn’t mean you can sink bore hole anyhow even if it’s your land.

Facts show otherwise, Tinubu didn't win based on tribe or tribalism. He won 4 out of 6 geopolitical zones. He lost 2 states in his own geopolitical zone. This is clearly not a result based on tribalism except numbers lie.

Haba, Image. Of course Yoruba alone did not elect president. Some voted for him for religionism, its obvious, and some because they thought he would do good, though I can't but wonder why, and some didn't vote at all, across tribe, religion, region, village, local government state etc etc etc. Even in my own close family there's agbado and there's buda and even PDP.

Check my numbers. Let me know if lies.

Court how? Will they live there forever? If someone increases his rent or doesn't want you in his house, you quietly look for a cheaper or better place and move to. Why spend money, energy and time fighting in court? You can't live in someone's house when you've already taken them to court. The relationship is soiled.
Try to negotiate with the landlord if he refuses leave his property for him. Maybe he wants you out. People should stop being unnecessarily troublesome.

Reading through this thread made me realize Many Nigerians don't even know their rights and what they are entitled to do in cases where landlords are being inconsiderate.
If the landlord wants a tenants out of his property, the right thing to do is to serve said tenant a Notice to Quit letter. Once the notice elapses and the tenants decides not to move out, the landlord can approach the court to help him evict the tenants. Not increase the rent by over 200% or 500% in order to force the tenants out.
In Nigeria tenancy law, Landlords are not allowed to increase rent more than 20% of the initial rent, and the increase shall be considered after every 2 years.

Nigerian law stipulates that rent must not be increased by over 50percent in a year.
The tenants have a right to sue.
