Transport and support my siblings since we are orphans.

I can never advise any young guy to teach in a private sch, and if u must teach there, don't stay long on the job. It's tantamount to time waste. You can't make anything meaningful from there. I'm a perfect example.
I wanted to quit this January, but it's unwise doing so without having anything doing. Moreso, my rent expires next month. I can't sleep. I'm disturbed cos of this. Nobody to help

It depends. In every profession you see people lowly paid. Abi have you not seen lawyers earning 50k salary?
As at 10 years ago, the lowest paid teacher in my friends school here in Lagos earned over 150k monthly. Teachers are flown to UK once or twice yearly to brush up on courses eg montessori etc. Just imagine how much they earn now.
Which school?

What is your discipline? I can give an advice or two

Thank you for your concern.
I need a job, not advice please. It's always easy to advise people when you're not the one confronted with the challenge.

Tell him to engage in online tutoring. He doesn't need any full time teaching that will waste away his time and sanity. He can make up to 1m monthly if he's very smart and vast with the use of technology.

If at all he would do a full time job, it should be to firstly get established and have a platform. A lot of international students are looking for Maths specialists as private tutors.

Strokes can we work together?

If you want to leave your current status, you need to change your mindset, he wanted to give you a vital information at least, just listen. In this life you need to be a good listener to progress. It is a new year. Don't throw away destiny helpers with your replies.

Yes I agree with the fact that in every profession, there are still some lowlypaid people. But how come Teachers' are more pronounced. The day u become a private sch teacher is the day u signed up for poverty as a young man
You don't sound like a Teacher.

Maybe you are those SS3 dropouts and you want to earn same salary as those who have more experience than you.

You better find your bearing and work on it. Peace 🤞

You can try make sensible comments next time. I'm protesting because of all these. If life was good for everyone , who would have wanted to go on a protest? never knew u were this unintelligent anyways.

It's difficult to give a specific amount. Schools in the city center pay more compare to schools in the subborb area of the city.

A. Schools in the city center + at least 2 years of
hands-on experience: 100k - 300k
B. Schools in the subborb: 60 - 100k.

My friend colect less dan 50k per Month. Although, his daughter attend the school tuition free.

And how does he plan to Finance her further studies with a salary of 50k per month when she graduates from the private school? This looks like bad decision.

Hello everyone.

Pls I am trying to find out useful information on how much Abuja private school teachers are paid. This information is necessary to enable someone close to me decide if to relocate to Abuja or not. He is a Mathematics teacher.

Pls kindly reply if you have idea on how much a Mathematics teacher can be paid in a private school in Abuja. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

It depends on the school. My in law is receiving above a 100k but I know teachers who aren't getting half of what he is getting.
Re: Private School Teachers In Abuja, How Much Do You Earn? by CALCULUS16: 2:02pm On Jan 01
It all depends on the area.
Don't stay in the following areas: kurudu, jikwe , orozo , kubwa, etc even some places like area 1 too. They pay teacher as little as 30k per month.
Being in town is better, some are paid close to 300k base on their qualifications, but can you afford the accomodation?
Don't seek your job in all these local private schools, they improverish their workers

The guy is arrogant. I was viewing this thread with someone at orange gardens in Maitama and the guy had wanted to reach out to him but changed his mind upon seeing this response

Real time wasting. I won't advise any bachelor with great future to venture into private teaching. Diversify and move on with your life if good work is not in sight. At the end, they will use and dumb u.
