You mentioned Spain at Euros to support your opinion that teams have moved on from using strikers and i pointed it out that they actually went with 2 strikers. They didn't move on anything but just that they lacked quality strikers to pick from. One of the strikers even scored in the final.

Out of 7 Euros matches for spain, Oyazarbal played as CF in 6. Out of 16 laliga matches this season, he played as CF in 14. In fact, he never played as LW this season in Laliga. So, i don't know where the drafting to play CF at times came from.
