Meanwhile, Multiverse, after doing several days of full bids back to back and doing more than 100% within just one month, opportunity comes today for people to rush out/sell, yet none of that is happening. Why is that? |

vacanci: Fidelity Bank and First Bank of Nigeria (FBN) have the majority stakes in listed and unlisted equities at fair value in C&I Leasing Plc, a leasing and business services conglomerate in Nigeria. Fidelity Bank and First Bank of Nigeria hold 46 percent and 27.6 percent respectively in equities at fair value while Access Bank Plc has 16.5 percent. Also, Dimunition holds 9.6 percent stake. A company’s equity means how many of its component assets are owned by the company, rather than leveraged with debts such as business loans, vehicle financing, mortgages, among others. It is the total value of a company’s assets, minus the sum of its liabilities. Further analysis reveals that out of C&I Leasing Plc listed and unlisted equities – at fair value which stood at N59.8 million – Fidelity Bank equities are worth N27.7 million, First Bank of Nigeria(N16.5 million), Access Bank Plc (N9.88 million), Diminution (N5.73 million). After-tax profit grew to N1.59 billion in the nine months of 2024 from N414.1 million in the same period of 2023 while C&I Leasing Plc’s gross earnings increased to N28.9 billion from N16.3 billion. https://businessday.ng/companies/article/fidelity-fbn-own-most-equity-stakes-in-ci-leasing-plc/ 5 Likes 2 Shares |

I bought the rumor and I’m now selling the news. That’s the first half of the trade. The second half of the trade is the actual implementation of the tariff and how it affects their results positively which is still quarters down the line. I’m locking in my profits now and hoping to see it at cheaper later. The strategy could be wrong, let’s see veecovee: 6 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Divineability: 1:25pm On Jan 09 |
I have been reluctant in making comments here because I just came back to stocks investment after a LOOONG run-away exit, prompted by the 2008 financial crisis. Dangote did not start today. I don't who else was a victim, but when Dangote was to buy over NASCON in those days, he played a fast one on us; he offered some units of his holding to floor investors. Riding on the wave and euphoria created by the BCC takeover magic, his media team hyped the NASCON news to high heavens, and there was serious scrambling and lobbying by investors. I think only few people were 'lucky' to scale through. It was sold to us at N17 or so, can't remember properly now. I was so happy that my bid went through. I thought what I missed out in BCC magic, I would recoup in NASCOM. But before I knew what was happening, they had massively crashed the price. The man eventually bought it back from us at N5 or so. Shalom428: quote author=Shalom428 post=133640156] It's really sad how Nigerians overlook daylight fraud in NSE. Our leaders know exactly who we are , that is why they use impunity to rubbish us as much as they do Dangote proposed a merger ( Nascon , DangSugar and DangRice ) . Prospective investors keyed into it , especially looking at the price its closest contemporary ( BUAFOODS ) was and still trading . DangRice is nonexistent, zero revenue, yet he used to sell and pump the price of the distressed DangSugar. He used it to pump the price of distressed DangSugar, he already knew Financial cost will battered DangSugar. If this is not a daylight robbery, I don't know which one will be He knew NSE investors are docile, they will not do shit. Can he pull this type of fraud in an economy with active investors, Hell No! 4 Likes |

Forgive my ignorance but what did Dangote gain from pumping the price up? I did not see any corporate disclosure relating to his sale of shares? So what did he really gain from the failure of the Dangote foods merger Shalom428: 2 Likes |
