More so, it is expensive to take out consequential loss insurance of damage caused by sprinkler systems, when a house owner has already taking a fire insurance policy which is super expensive on it’s own.

That’s why they need public sprinklers systems.

- it took them nearly a day before they could realize they needed to shut down cooking gas supplies to those areas.
So as the fire was burning, all exposed gas lines in those properties were aiding the fire

- the weather was extremely dry.

-their fire hydrant’s pressure went flaccid and the pressure wasn’t much. They said they suspected sabotage, here.

-the speed of the wind was at around 60 to 80 miles per hour which was way faster than what fire fighters could cover, so the fire kept spreading and expanding quickly.

- most of their elite gated communities were difficult to access and this worsened the situation.

- lots of wall sidings of those properties were engineered materials and are highly combustible because they were made from by-products of crude oil.

- the topography of those areas too are bad which makes firefighting a bit difficult - lots of valleys and hills there and are tough to climb or descend.

- there were suspected cases of arsonists at different areas at the same time.

- fires from smoke exhaust pipes of their noisy, high-end vehicles and tractors working of farmlands too are culprit

No surface sprinkler system installed. I feel they would include this when redesigning and rebuilding that area.
