Story. Amunike's case is pure ethnicity. They know he is good. If Amunike was a Northerner or Yoruba man, he would have landed that job in a flash. Let us tell ourselves the truth. That was why his U17 team was the most sabotaged and his U20 suffered the same. That was why they had a cold reception after winning the U17 World Cup.

Unless you have a credible reason, I only see his ethnicity as the problem.
Which truth? Baba rest this lazy thinking.

Yes, NFF seem to have issues with him but it is interhouse grade acrobatics that you use to arrive at this your "truth"

Stephen Keshi suffered serious sabotage. A very bad one. The man literally suffered working for the Super Eagles. Imagine having a sack letter prepared during the AFCON.

Keshi's case was success despite of tumultuous negativity.
Na vain talk be this. His ethnicity should have stopped him from getting the job in the first place.

I have made my opinion. It is not a slight on tribe and I wonder why people are so sensitive. I have met many people that are not tribalistic. Many on this thread. I went to an FGC and spent years living with people of different tribes. Respecting each others cultures and religions.

However, we can't pretend that in our midst, there are still people with tribalistic sentiments. There are still people that are discriminatory in their thinking.

We saw it openly in the last election.

What I am saying, the only sense I can make it is some ethnic bias people in the corridors of the NFF that don't want Amunike there and have worked hard to sabotage his success in the National team sector.

That is why I personally hope he stays clear of the National team and build himself more with club football.

The sabotage has been crazy against him.

When his CV is brutally above the competition, I see some bad eggs switching to plan B of giving him the job and massively sabotaging the person. We saw it with Stephen Keshi. It was literally open. He was winning games and qualifying for a tournament and still getting reports of bringing in a technical adviser (won't mention the name of the person but a footballing Super Eagles legend).

This time, I think those eggs did not want to take the gamble.

Tribe will be a very simple explanation for the depth of problems Keshi faced. Moreso, now that we all have some level of understanding on how amoral the NFF and sports cabal can be.

My brother, this I will fully agree with you. I believe we have a tribalistic shell we must break and with time it will happen. Discriminatory veil is something we must go past but still, there are still deeper issues with the NFF that will take time to grow from.

Baba, the onus is to prove this your truth

This was someone who alongside Eguavoen coached the team for a crucial WCQ o. When the loss came, only Eguavoen took the blame on the chin. What better time to show that tribalistic malice than then?

For God's sake even John Obuh managed the age grade teams! Imama Amapakabo led the U23!

Sorry, the point does not stick to me. We are talking about making Amunike the head coach and him suffering terrible sabotage when he was head coach of different National teams. These are pure facts and truth. I don't need to prove it. Picking an unqualified Finidi over him is a fact. I don't need to prove it. Calling him to tactically make inputs to help Eguavoen in I think a two game tie is nothing.

Just to clarify, I meant that the explanation of tribe for me is too simple to be the cause, considering that Keshi knew them and worked with them closely. So yeah, there are deeper issues.

No wonder John Obuh suffered sabotage too. grin cheesy

I remember reading about him complaining of not even having food for his U17 team and having to feed the with Cabin biscuits and pure water. NFF. Shaking my head.

Let me rephrase.

In my opinion or belief, Amunike's case is pure ethnicity from bad eggs in the NFF. Also, I believe so because of the massive sabotage he has suffered while handling some national teams.

Is that okay for you?

Choosing Finidi over Amunike with a scanty CV was enough to get the message.

Amunike was with Eguavoen on the failed WCQ. Furthermore it's not like he had anything going for him in recent times.

Please, we are making opinions here. When we analyze football, it is inferences we make. We put clues together and make opinions. No one's opinion here is the holy grail. That is why I always encourage people countering with clues and also backing your points with clues.

I always try to do this.

Just like using the series of sabotage of Amunike as my clues.

Never claimed to be the holy grail. Please.

Funny again. You can't imprint your philosophy as an assistant coach. That is basic knowledge. There are many coaches that were sacked and their assistants transformed the team. Remember the sacking of Ten Hag and how Nistelrooy improved their results with tactical changes.

You can see your point has no backing or clues in anyway. You just ranted something that is literally not true in anyway.

I repeat, I have always encouraged people to counter opinions with points. I want to see my points countered. I enjoy seeing people pointing out things that I have missed.

I have always preached coming with a learning mentality here. Not with an all knowing mindset.

I wholly believe Amunike's case is caused by ethnic bias people in the NFF. I have given my reasons why.

The truth is that we have ethnic bias people in the country. Lots of them. We can't deny it. There is a chance some of them are in the corridors of the NFF going by that.
