gidgiddy: There's already a Supreme Court ruling that has put aside the original High Court ruling that ordered Kanu to be released from DSS custody and returned to Kenya over the rendition carried out by the Nigerian government. The High Court ruling that ordered Kanu's rendition as illegal is separate from that in which he is standing trial for Treason and terrorism charges. At no point has any court in Nigeria acquitted and discharged Kanu for his existing treasonable felon and terrorism case. The Supreme Court overturned the separate high court ruling declaring Kanu's rendition illegal and declared that Kanu should continue to face his criminal case that has been pending for years. No court in Nigeria has acquitted and discharged Kanu for his criminal case and the Supreme court has since set aside the parallel High Court ruling declaring his rendition illegal. 89 Likes 20 Shares |

correctyourself: Kanu's legal team sought a separate high court ruling challenging his rendition back to Nigeria as being illegal without recourse to international procedures and laws. The FG appealled up to the supreme court which decided that Kanu should continue his trial . No court had acquitted and discharged Kanu. 46 Likes 4 Shares |
Re: Nnamdi Kanu Offers ₦1 Million Challenge To Law Students by gidgiddy: 9:16am On Jan 17 |
AntiZikist: All this has nothing to do with the challenge Nnamdi Kanu set. The court of appeal discharged and ordered that Kanu be released. The government ran to the same Appeal court to ask that court to stay its own judgement while it appealed that judgement at the Supreme court What Kanu is asking is where has it happened that a person is set free by a court, you ask that same court to temporarily keep the person it already freed, in jail, while you appeal at a higher court? How can any person ask a court to suspend its own judgement so they can appeal elsewhere? I have never heard of such judicial rascality in my life, and I'm sure no Law student has either 62 Likes 9 Shares |

Re: Nnamdi Kanu Offers ₦1 Million Challenge To Law Students by AntiZikist: 9:25am On Jan 17 |
correctyourself: The legal team is desperate to stall and end the ongoing case because the evidence is beyond reasonable doubt. The legal team needs to sensationalise the case to get sympathy for their client. The longer the case is delayed , the more legal fees are racked up. Kanu's theatrics in court is to ensure the case continues to drag. Kanu had first refused to recognise the jurisdiction of the court to try him and has twice demanded the judge rescue herself from the case. His legal team even once stalled a hearing by declaring that he has began a plea negotiation with the federal government and that the case should be halted until a negotiation is reached and dress ammended charges brought before the court. The judiciary is being very careful so as to get the defense to exhaust all legal loopholes so as not to claim miscarriage of justice over some technicality. If this was a civil case the judge will not hesitate to sanction the defense bit being it's a criminal case and a serious one at that, the court must entertain every theatrics from the defense . 17 Likes 2 Shares |

AntiZikist: This one keeps talking about Supreme court as if that is the issue. Kanu was discharged and freed by the court of appeal in October 2022. The ruling of the Supreme court would not come until November 2023, more than a year later Kanu sat in Jail for more than a year despite having a court of appeal judge freeing him. What Kanu is asking is where has this been done before? So what it means is that if a person wins his freedom in court, the government will ask that court to suspend a binding judgment, keep that person in jail, so government can spend months, even years appealing at a higher court. That's judicial rascality You people think this about Kanu? It will start with Kanu but government will do this more often in the future. "You are set free by court, but you have to wait years in jail so I can go on appeal to all the higher courts of the land first" Absolute rascality! 48 Likes 4 Shares |

gidgiddy: Is the Appeal court above the Supreme court? You can not be selective in which judgement to abide to. The supreme court has ruled that Kanu's case mist continue and that is final. 17 Likes 2 Shares |

kedeojo: If you ever go to court, and court sets you free, but government asks the same court to suspend their decision, keep you jail for months or years while they appeal at the Supreme court, you will understand where Kanu is coming from If Kanu is convicted today in court and sent to jail, will Kanu be able to ask court to suspend that decision while he appeals to the Supreme court? Or will he begin his sentence and appeal from jail? The judgement of the court will stand while Kanu appeals from jail But if Kanu wins in court, he will still sit in jail as the authorities appeal at a higher court That is known as judicial rascality 38 Likes |

You say Nigeria is wicked and corrupt, so why expecting justice and reason from a system you categorized as evil? Could it be that you don't truly believe it is evil and your just scamming your followers? If Nnamdi Kanu truly believes Nigeria is evil then he should commit suicide in prison, that at least will turn him to a Martyr. 6 Likes |
