The Governors only made suggestions on amending parts of the bill so it won't seem like they conceded without a fight. It is not imperative that the presidency agrees to their proposed amendments. The bill will mostly likely still be passed as it was originally drafted with very minor tweaks.

We will see the bill when the final version is passed. With the way the BAT media machine has gone to work praising the man for a bill that hasn't been finalized - I suspect they have seen the handwriting on the wall. All this propaganda is designed to soften the blow when it lands.

There have been several threads with posters railing against Northerners, Northern governors etc. but as usual, its all hot air with no direction or purpose.

It is instructive that the State House press release mentioned (and commended) the Northern Governors Forum by name but said absolutely nothing about the so called Southern Governors Forum - an entity which apparently comes to life only when elections are around the corner. Jokers.

Please divide this country, the only thing that will get done is what the president can do by himself. Anything that needs the help of the representatives will never get done. The tax bill they now agreed to is not the proposed one.

President Tinubu is exposing Nigerians for who they really are, a bunch of confused cowards who just talk but don't know what they really want. They talk about restructiing but can't stand their ground to say no to opponents at the first test of it. Bills are a game of numbers, so for such a bill why can't middlebelt, southeast and southsouth cross and join Yoruba to carry it to the finish line? Am I missing something?

What more can this president do on restructuring when the simplest part can't even make it across? So pathetic!

Yoruba have to go with a full on secession, at least they will have to make legaly binding concessions to keep us in Nigeria.

Oga, u still didn't get this man called jagaban. Re election or not, he has prepared from over 30 years by helping a lot of people both politicians and civilians to grow. Like it or not, more than 20 years ago, knowing where he is going, Tinubu has helped more than 70% of people in 10th national assembly before now. Just mention any name, Ndume, Zulum that started these are mentored by Tinubu. He has helped a lot of people from judiciary and public service, fighting for them when being cheated. No past presidents have such political recognition across Nigeria. Go and find out, Tinubu hands will be detected in almost anything that has to do with prominent and professional personalities in Nigeria.

He is a gr8 man. 2007 will be unopposed.
