This country don spoil beyond repair, I remember January 2023, I was telling myself that by 2025, I will be able to afford 2016 Honda Accord, I've been admiring that car since 2021.

The car was around 6m then, fast forward to today, it's being sold for 15m+ and the dream to own the car this year was killed and buried, like this country will just kill your hope and make things hard.

We are just surviving and not living.

Exactly the inflation is crippling.........and our income are crawling...
More and more people falling into poverty daily.

Everything seems way way overpriced.

Honestly, I no sabi wetin Uber dey smoke o.
I met a guy today and he said last week he collected a total of 180k in bonuses alone. This week he has collected 80k and is 10trips away from collecting another 110k bonus.
He has chosen 197k bonus for 30 trips target ahead of next week. So in three weeks Uber is dashing him roughly 600k asides the profits from the trips. Mad o.
That's really tempting.

If it was Pearl that was invited to this morning program on NigeriaInfo, he would have defended Bolt with one of his balls that they have enough security grin... Kofi would have been frustrated by his optimism nature. Pearl would said bolt have security escorts for each driver on trip with special drones monitoring drivers while on trip. Nevertheless, his optimism helps sometimes.

They will unblock it tonight, I can't use any other apps except bolt.

I don't know how they get to know I did offline yesterday, I actually did offline but I clicked arrive and waited 3mins before canceling it.

Just wondering how they get to know I did the offline, be like my offline days have come to an end..

There might be an algorithm used to know the destination of your cancelled ride and your next taken ride.

Imagine getting a request from point A to B, but you cancelled it. Then the next ride request you took started around point B. That's what I guess it should be.

That's what happened.

If you go online at the destination where you took an offline ride to, Bolt will know.

I converted a trip from Lekki to Airport to offline yesterday, immediately I dropped the rider, I went online.
I got blocked 30mins later..

Meanwhile they had warned me about it 2weeks ago by making me complete a guide on Offline Trip Conversion..same mistake I made yesterday was what I did then too..

This is common sense, if you must be a thief you first have to be smarter than the owner and security of the item you want to steal.

Every ehailijg driver should have at least 2 ehailing apps for cases like this.

You cancelled and converted a trip offline, after drop off you must not accept another trip around that area within 20 to 30 minutes after you must have completed that same trip.
We're living in a tech world now, everything we consume as human these days is technology. Even to the food you eat, they're all technology, artificial beans, rice, tomato, corn, diaries name it, they're all hybrid... scientifically and labouratorically prepared.

It's a program, so the programme can easily check for cheating.

So the best way to beat the program is by a virus, taking a trip out of the same area with another app.

Have you noticed, Uber doesn't work properly if your rider's and driver's app are both turned-on on the same phone? I don't know is they've now re-write their app to function like that of the undriver where you've both apps in the same frame but on different interfaces, so uou just swap.

So you must be smart to beat a program.

I don't know, but I guess I'm a different being. Why would you cheat a system that helps you make money? I understand the commission is high, but they are not forcing you to use it. You can stick to indrive. Using the app without paying commission is cheating and somewhat thievery.
They give 10k bonus daily after completing 7 rides. That can help to reduce commission. Why cheat on them again? Everyone is just dubious in this country. Dog eat Dog!
I'm not holy, but I hate cheating

A lot of riders moved to indrive cos they feel it's cheaper. I stay long too before getting request on bolt. Infact I was unable to get 2 rides yesterday to complete 7 for 10k bonus.

It's a no brainer. If u convert trip to offline when u arrive in that area u now come online. U don't need an intelligent person to analyse your trips and see that u accepted a trip, drove to pickup, arrived and waited, then u cancelled, went offline didn't take any other trips but suddenly u came online again in the area of the destination of the last ride u cancelled. If this happens seldomly, someone can assume it's coincidence, afterall we use multiple apps to work. but if it happens often, then it's not difficult to conclude u are converting trips to offline.

If for any reason I convert a trip, after I drop the rider, I am definitely not going online until I have driven a least 5km away. Or preferably I use another app to get out of that zone completely.

Yes, I agree...its wrong to cheat the system. Especially a system that is trying to help in everyway.
However, there are unique cases which u may have to convert the trip to offline and negotiate price. Such as;
1. If the trip is towards an area u will probably not easily get a trip back from. I am not going to take a trip to Covenant university, Bells, Babcock, Dangote refinery, or Sagamu online. If the rider is not ready to negotiate an offline price he should keep searching for the jjc that will carry him/her online to his remote destination and drive back to civilization empty.
2. The rider has multiple stops but didn't add it in the trip while requesting. U and I know in this work, time is money. But the waiting time on the app is not properly designed to cover for the lost time waiting. In this case u may have to renegotiate offline and charge per hour or quarter/half day.

For me, these are reasons good enough for converting.

If you avoid economy trips entirely, you'll have had time making any money on Bolt.

The economy prices may seem ridiculous but not entirely bad. I combine it with Bolt categories to make up for my bonus trip count.

What I do most times is to only accept Economy trips with very close pickups, accept Economy trips that are 5k minimum with a max of 20 to 25 minutes trip duration, and lastly, avoid using AC for those brokies.

And for a fact, Indrive prices can be better than Bolt Economy prices in net value. Imagine a trip that's 5100 on Indrive and 5300 on Bolt Economy. You know which one will give a better net value.

Trust me, I am not supporting, encouraging or condoning cheating the system.
I am sure in ur business there are things u do, I will probably will not approve of because I don't understand the rudiments of the trade.
People must get to their destinations, so how can we solve the problem of lost revenue for Bolt and Uber on unfavourable trips?
Over the years, I have suggested strategies and solutions to this problem repeatedly, but the App companies are always slow to adapt. They know unfavourable destinations, they know places people will not ordinarily like to go to because of the difficulty going in and out, ease of getting trip, bad road, safety and security concerns.
All they need to do is make the fare for those kind of trips more juicy and attractive for the driver, the fare should be calculated in a different way to compensate for the challenges in completing that trip
Indrive is flexible in that, rider can just type 30k to Ijebu ode and anybody that wants to go can pick.
Rather than expect a driver to go to Sagamu for the same price he will go to VI from Berger.
