These kinda scenarios are often one of the two.
1. Her death was paid for by some individuals.
The kidnapping was a ruse to make some extra cash by the side
2. She was genuinely kidnapped for ransom but along the line, she must have discovered the identity(s) of the kidnappers. Once that happens, execution regardless of ransom paid.

So quick tip.
Once you find yourself kidnapped, endeavor not to seek identity of the kidnappers..keep your head lowered when they talk to you and never look them in the eye..once they see recognition in your eyes..it's over
