Finally, I am now a permanent resident in Australia.

Australian citizenship loading....

Read how I came to Australia in December 2023 at the age of 48.

https://www.nairaland.com/8045088/finally-migrated-australia-age-48

13 months after, my family became permanent resident. It can only be God.
Woow, so fast? I could remember how these Nairaland hypocrites was discouraging you then saying you left your 1 million salary to go to Australia and be opening carton.

Infact, you are big inspiration to many out there including me.
Maybe I would get in touch with you when I start to process my Australia visa too but pardon me to go hustle for Oman first.

Most Nigerians are bitter and frustrated. Nairalanders are just the worst. Poverty, frustration and lack of exposure has made them bitter towards others who are doing well for themselves. Nothing triggers a Nigerian more than a dual citizen. They are trapped in Nigeria and are pissed at those who have options. They are seen as being "unpatriotic".

In as much as this sounds like a good news, we Nigerians need to do better by avoiding posting topics like this online, we are indirectly telling these countries that Nigerians are desperate to leave Nigeria and that obtaining their PR or passports is more than a breakthrough and dream come true for us, thereby making things more difficult for those coming behind us.

We really need to do better than all these sharing of unnecessary travel information.

Sighs

We don't need to post it

The Akpaamunsi of a man is actually a naturalised Australian citizen who was a one time PDP politician from Anambra state at the House of Representatives. He's simply envious, typical of so-called Nigerian elites, that an ordinary Nigerian could achieve the same citizenship stuff as he did.

Nigerian elites hate it when the citizens prosper and aspire to be like them. It says a lot how they run the country. Do As I Say, Not As I Do.

I know of him
He has no shame

The sweetest part is, I don't have to pay school fees anymore.

Government takes care of that.

How much were you paying in Nigeria compared to other expenses like child care over there? Which do you think is cheaper when everything is taken into consideration?

I am still following through. I am waiting for my daughter to finish her grade 12 this June. Buying ticket for July.

I am not disconnecting from here, will be visiting about trice a year as my office will still be running and I will be needing to appear in courts here.

Nigeria, here I come. My two sons I hope to have them in boarding schools in Nigeria.
