Anyone familiar. Will Transcorp (Parent company), use the new OS after the share reconstruction for the final results? As at 9M the reconstruction had not taken place, so it didn't reflect in the result

Yes they will.
The reconstruction was done and dusted. Registered and allocated to CSCS during the period.

After doing my analysis on the annualized EPS and PE. I had to go and buy more. It was the cheapest.

With an EPS of 51, imagine what kind of dividend they can pay out, even factoring that FX gains are not included in dividend
watch out how the outstanding share units increase when the right issues is been received which might dilute the earning per share
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 11:55am On Jan 23
The dividend that would be paid is not based on that OS though? As it was outside the period, have they even been alloted yet ?

From my quick calculation. If we take into dilution effect on FY 24 results, EPS will be about 42 naira. A 1.4x PE

I hope you're doing well! I’ve been following your discussions and find the content here really engaging and helpful. I was wondering if it’s possible to join the WhatsApp group that you are part of and share more insights.

Could anyone kindly share the details on how I can join the group or the steps involved?

Pls explain your position with the bank recapitalization and the dilution effect. Maybe there’s something I’m missing in my own view also.
Personally I feel these banks are still very cheap on FA terms, even with dilution effect, the PEs are not high at all.
HesInMe:
It is beyond perplexing o. The market seems to be telling us that banks can just issue new equity, then -- abracadabra! -- turn around the cash and grow their earnings per share in a few short months.

So why don't they keep issuing new shares in perpetuity?

I agree with you that the PEs are not high.
Historically also, the banking sector has very low PEs

Transcorp Hotel and BUA companies are in the same bus. They enjoy over concentration of shares in a few hands. Their freefloat is just too small

UNIVERSITY PRESS PLC

https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/42933_UNIVERSITY_PRESS_PLC.-_QUARTER_3_-_FINANCIAL_STATEMENT_FOR_2025_FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_JANUARY_2025.pdf

Net income of 510m in 9M/24 from a revenue of 3b, a 17% net margin.
Made a loss in their Q3/24 of 172.5m from a revenue of 484m
9M eps of 118k
Point of interest -
The cost of marketing selling and administration of 1.36b from a revenue of 3b is too high. Roughly 50% of the revenue.
A negative trade payable of 901m changed the OFC to negative from a net income of 510m.
Digging further, they have a 526m royalty payable to the authors of the books they have been printing and selling that made the FCF to be negative.
I will do a valuation of the stock later today for full report

No way Zenith and GTB will move without slight movement in Access/UBA it's just people's instinct. If not for access and their buy buy up and down UBA should not be senior to them

Honestly thinking of selling all my access and rotating the money into my UGZ. But every analyst report I read the PT is N40

I like Gtco and zenith because their respective OS remain less than 40billion post-recapitalisation. They have less
Not the same for Access and uba.
Uba will have like 45billion shares after the first round, while Access has over 53billion Os.

Eps, dividends and price appreciation will all be affected by OS.

The official news made no difference to Oando’s price, or perhaps it was priced in based on last week fridays +9%. I guess people need to start seeing some good results from then now. Only other driver is the refinery or finalization of the bonus share issue
