Some of those Governors are Nigeria problem. They did same to Buhari and Jonathan.

There greediness is on another level.

Leobankx:

What is wrong with some Nigerian governors for God's sake, why are they so greedy.

Small 75k for the poor you still want to hijack the list so you can input fake names and loot the money.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Nentawe Yilwatda, says some politicians are trying to influence poor Nigerians who make the social register to enjoy the government’s conditional cash transfer.

He said, “Some people want us to bend and allow the governors or the states to just generate the list and send. It’s a conditional transfer; conditions are attached to qualifying to benefit from the social safety net.
Nigeria is simply unbelievable!
The politicians, not different from bedbugs. Bedbugs suck your blood bit by bit, give you rashes, and infest your space. They don't die that easily.

Anywhere there is free money to be made, you find the Nigerian politician. They swarm around huffing and puffing to hijack the process. Simple money to be given to poor people, they want it. Government of themselves for themselves. I would have loved that they be allowed to provide their own so-called social register to let us see if it tallies with that which the ministry wants to work with. Wait for these governors to cry foul about the ministry's register. Sebi na dia states, and they should know those that are poor. It is only when it comes to money that they know those that are poor.

This Cash Transfer scheme can never be transparent. Not in a country like Nigeria.
It's simply impossible to generate a genuine list of very poor & vulnerable citizens.

This Minister is resolute and determined to achieve this, it's a matter of time.
