If it is for Egbetokun, you will have to wait till after 2027 elections. Anything short of that is in your pockets.

Police needs to be reformed. Create police colleges, 1 in each region.

The minimum entry qualification should be a diploma ( OND, NCE or gradation from police academy.

Illiterate policemen are too much many.

Hope you know, OND and NCE are the middle level officers, so, OND and NCE will be cleaner, clerks and messengers, traffic wardens etc in police force?
The way you guys reason is worrisome, you claim to know it all wen u know nothing.

Yes, let the cleaners and clerks and messenger get at least a diploma.

Is it too much to ask?

Nigeria is a very lawless country, you can retire others at 60yrs because the IG at 60 is a loyalist of the emilokam president, they can change the law to fit and suit their own desire, until Una realize that there is different laws between the Rich, political class and the poor, the earlier for una.
All animals are not equal in the dysfunctional jungle called Nigeria

Try and use your brain before you comment. When was the law enacted (sep 2020) when did Egbetokun become IG (Oct 2023)

This illegality that Tinubu has introduced to this country will set a bad precedent for future leaders.

I hope there will be no noise from the usual quarters when another President in the future does something similar or worse

Did he comment or he asked a question?

Is a comment and a question the same thing?

Did you use your brain to know the difference between both words before you rushed to respond without even attempting to answer his question?

People are so lazy about reading and research.
The Attorney general has already clarify that the office of the Inspector general is now of
a 4 years tenure in accordance wth the new police act. Irrespective of age or years of service. It simply means that if you are appointed IG even if it's a day before serving for 35 years or your 60th birthday, you must remain IG for 4 years before you leave. The present IG was only lucky that he was IG already when the law was signed by the President but the act was amended during President Buhari 🙏🙏🙏

This particular amendment was done last year to enable the IG to remain in office for four years
