Streetinvestor2: You were looking at the EPS and dividend paid then, but an experienced analyst should be able to identify the one with a growth potential before it becomes obvious. In 2019 the EPS of Presco was less than N5, Okomu had a better EPS and dividend 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Coolcash1:I left my Totalenergies upon seeing their result and ported to presco immediately. Not that Totalenergies didn't to well, just that I wasn't really impressed. Chams did well but not that well. Its not late to try other options. Don't let too much emotions lead you to miss out on good dividends this season like "Dangfoods" did to some of us last year. 2 Likes |

Mpeace:Presco may appreciate above total but this year total may likely pay higher dividend than presco. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Locotrader(m): 6:45pm On Feb 01 |
Coolcash1: Chams move is not by this result. This result is only but eye opener to the smart ones. You can only see 80-100% profit with this result. Wait for some news that will drive the price to N15 in the next 12 months.Chams is now open for hundreds of million dollar investments. 1 Like |

https://www.thecable.ng/cbn-approves-cfa-for-repatriation-of-export-proceeds/ My understanding African countries with CFA franc don't need to source for dollars to pay for our exports. It is officially a foreign exchange tradable currency for Nigeria by CBN inaddition to dollar, Pounds, Euro and now Chinese yuan. |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeneralDae: 9:33pm On Feb 01 |
chimex38:This is a strategic one. It could be a strategy to formalise the informal cross border trades and reduce this fight for conversion to more expensive dollars. Those from Niger, Benin, and Chad who live in Nigeria and want to trade goods can easily transfer their CFA to Banks without hustling for more expensive dollars from the BDC’s. 5 Likes |

As many as are hoping on palm oil producing companies, PRESCO, OKUMO and ELLAH LAKES. As they expand their farms and with increase planting from small scale holders the possibility of a glut should be factored. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by unite4real: 4:09am On Feb 02 |
essentialone: Those profit figures you posted are not positives just so you know and not mislead yourself into thinking you have a profitable company waiting for you to buy. When you look very well, there is a minus sign. This was how caverton Q3 report used a minus sign against the usual open and closed bracket that we are used to and later came out to correct the inconsistency after the share price had rallied so high. Then the price started dropping like a pack of cards following the correction. It's deceptive for them to use minus sign in some areas and closed brackets in others when they mean the same thing. Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by unite4real: 4:30am On Feb 02 |
faoogoke: Why do you think that palm oil export is banned in Nigeria. We are not producing enough. If it's easy to jump into the business and create a glut, Ellhlakes would have started producing. It takes time. It's not like maize or rice farming. Themoment Nigeria becomes self sufficient, then PRESCO will make more money because they will start exporting. Palm oil that some countries are already using as bio fuel. Many industries need it. Examples are pharmaceutical companies, cosmetics, personal care (soaps, shampoos, lotions), food industries, lubricants, surfactants, animal feeds, paper and packaging. Not to talk of our daily cooking. It will outlive crude oil. 18 Likes |

Streetinvestor2:presco pay less dividend but reinvested more in increasing capacity with both having high roce, presco will do better overtime and was cheaper too. Was lucky I used OKOMUOIL dividend wisely over the years in playing with small cap bets. |
