Livelystone01:I believe it was ordinary, yes. But that wasn't enough not at the moment, I think material conditions since COVID has made people anxious and frustrated, people are experiencing a cost of living crisis, unprecedented rent and housing costs, bloated healthcare costs, and very little increase in wages, proportional to productivity. The Democrats were offering bandage solutions, "we'll give a marginal tax credit to single moms" "A tax deduction to new home buyers" The system works, we just need to tweak it. These are not necessarily bad, but it just doesn't inspire anyone. Also the Democrat position on immigration and massaging there was just bad, instead of pushing back on the narrative that millions of criminals are crossing the border and making everywhere unsafe. (note: there is no data to support this, native born citizens commit most of all crimes, compared to undocumented immigrants, because undocumented immigrants get deported when they do. Aswell as drug smuggling is carried out by citizens, not immigrants for reasons I hope are obvious, the list goes on.) The Democrats capitulated to trump on the immigration issue, basically admitting that the Republicans are correct on this, and trying to posture as either harder on immigration, or trying to appeal to some niche demographic that wanted republican lite policies, which no one bought. There are other issues, especially on the Woke, DEI, and LGBTQ front, but I'll keep this short. Trump's message was "The system is corrupt, I know what's causing all your problems, I will fix it, I will punish those causing your problems, they are your enemy and my enemy, and I'll Make America Great Again." The gist of it. It's populist, it's succinct. It makes me think he's the main character and add on his charisma, he sounds like someone who means what he says. With non of the technocratic bable. And you know what, he's actually delivering on those promises, in the eyes of his supporters. The Democratic party and most especially as a candidate Kamala failed at this. They have lost that spirit of actually having a conviction in something and saying what they believe, and aggressively following through on their promises. To inspire people, not just campaigning on not being the other guy. IMO I engage in politics enough to attempt to look past the vibes and look at the policies and utilitarian math of which party or candidate is better, but the Dems are terribly failing at the vibe check. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Livelystone01:If the bold is true, Do you think the citizens are crazy to get upset at the bold? And ask questions even demand a change of govt. When they do the only response we hear is that they are far right extremists, racists, misogynists If questioning how your tax dollars get spent and over 56% of it missing is right wing, Are you not inferring that right wing = common sense? |

Livelystone01: You sound like you're 15 here. You came here with some anti-intellectual claptrap and got offended I called you out on it. Both sides..blather blather... very smart. As if one of the themes of Trump's 1st presidency wasn't 'false equivalency'. Boo hoo. Next time think through your ideas, like why Biden cancelling Keystone pipeline makes him extreme, so you won't have to pretend you are too tired to justify the idea you didn't think through and you won't be exposed for getting your thoughts from propaganda. If he declared war ,he would have to get congressional approval. Panama. That's a different story. Is China is doing what NATO does to Russia, encroaching ? |

US stock market futures plunged Sunday, one day after President Donald Trump announced 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico and 10% tariffs on China set to go into effect on Tuesday. Dow futures were down 1.4%, or over 600 points, while S&P 500 futures dropped 1.9%. The futures traded for tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite were down 2.4% as of 6:36 p.m. ET. Bitcoin was also down 3.5% over the last 24 hours. The sharp selloff in the futures market implies the indexes will also open substantially lower when trading kicks off Monday at 9:30 a.m. ET. 1 Like 1 Share |

If only they had been sincere enough to tell their voters that they planned to plunge everyone into pain. But no. They lied about coming to make the economy better on day one. In the last 50 years of American politics, republicans always cause recessions and massive job losses. They get voted out because of the massive suffering they cause. But as soon as democrats fix the economy and create job growth, the republican supporters start to get comfortable again. They forget what happened the last time. They let their isms take control of the better part of their brains and vote again to foist suffering on everyone. As if somehow they thought it would be different this time. That those they hate will suffer and they’ll be exempt. That has never been the case. Rinse and repeat. If they don’t burn the country to rubble, they’ll never learn . happney65: 4 Likes

I'll take a dig on Ijebos who listed 3 bipartisan immigration bills that the wicked evil smelly Republicans including Trump scuttled. Apparently this was the cause of open borders that globalists like George Soros tout. Border crossings are now down 93% says the border Czar. A bill was not needed.

Holy cow, I'm loving this Thousands of FBI agents have been asked to fill a survey detailing their involvement in January 6 cases Questions, obtained by CBS News, ask what role the respondent may have played in any cases, such as acting as an agent, providing management support or collecting online data. The survey also asks if the respondent made any arrests, conducted interviews, participated in search warrants, testified in court or appeared before a grand jury. The questionnaires are to be completed and submitted by supervisors by Tuesday afternoon. Tomorrow. There is no room for lies here .It's every man for himself. Lying to FBI is criminal. (Crooked judge Emmet Sullivan put Michael Flynn through hell.)They went after innocent protesters in their homes, armed with assault rifles and dogs, with search warrants to look for anything else to indict a protester. One of them ,Jeremy Brown ,jailed for 7 years was found with a sawed off shotgun ,a short barreled rifle, and a CD containing a template he had used in a debriefing after serving honorably in Iraq. Boy those agents could be in a lot of |

Panama president is not renewing the China silk road belt initiative. https://www.republicworld.com/world-news/won-t-renew-panama-withdraws-from-china-s-belt-and-road-deal-amid-us-pressure He should know it's a debt trap. Ask Sri Lanka. There was an agreement for Panama canal to be permanently neutral which I think is Trump's starting point. 1 Like |

Like I said, I am not a pig so I won't respond to pigs. Some of us know how to separate ourselves from people who lack maturity. I only respond to humans who are mature enough to engage in discussions, not mental patients who need to fight everyone since that's how they are. If I don't quote you or respond to you, it means you have been a pig and I cannot reduce myself to that level. I am not sorry to take this stance if you feel offended. 1 Like |

basilico: An old English friend used to tell me to be concerned about China taking over in Nigeria. I told him he thinks we haven't learnt anything from Europe's exploitation, and think we are still dumb so China can exploit us. You say you consider all sides. Show me. Critics of the BRI accuse China of pursuing a policy of ‘debt-trap diplomacy’: luring poor, developing countries into agreeing unsustainable loans to pursue infrastructure projects so that, when they experience financial difficulty, Beijing can seize the asset, thereby extending its strategic or military reach. This paper demonstrates that the evidence for such views is limited. |

basilico: I don't think you can see how dumb it is to believe "You get paid six figures to simply approve every single payment request that comes to you". If you had a brain you'd have requested a couple of million yourself, since they'd simply approve your request and pay you. |
