With so much hesitation, I caution:

@21, that which has happened to Fidelity is nothing but a fluke.
For, in the fullness of time, the balloon will burst!

Be warned!

Hi Prophet,
Please we are expecting the new gem that you promised to release sometime ago.
Give us what we can buy to make some money (not Oando).

In this market, just buy a good number of fundamentally sound stocks and exercise patience.
Any stock moves. Speculating on a particular stock is a waste of time.
Experience has been proving this.

Not to contradict you, but movement can go either up or down. In fact, 20 stocks haven’t moved at all this year—0% change. So while patience is key, not every stock will deliver returns. Picking the right ones still matters!

To me,any company that has not paid dividend consistently for 10 years is not a good one to invest in.

Even the rehabilitation and current production at the PH refinery was largely due to Buhari's effort in awarding the contract which was almost complete before the clueless and incompetent Tinubu gate-crashed into Aso Rock .
Yet some people on TV, radio etc would want to credit Tinubu who did nothing!

Are you so much concerned with who gets credit than the impact of the economic growth we get and impact on the stock market?

To be honest, I think Wale has taken some good steps that show that he means well and is ready to reward Oando shareholders, and also uphold good corporate governance going forward.
It is a big deal to release and distribute a whooping 4.3billion shares amongst minority shareholders!. We should never take this gesture for granted because no shareholder would have known if he had refused to do it.
I just hope that Q1 2025 produces good results. If that happens, there may be big price rally for the next tranche of the share distribution.

I haven't heard these terms for a while: price to earnings ratio and book value of stocks. They used to point out if a particular stock is in overbought region make guyman no enter ocean with him two legs.

Please can unaudited results be used for financial decisions or best wait for audited results?

The impact is what matters and the impact will always come if the right thing is done. No president will be in office for ever, but we will always feel the benefits or costs of their policy actions.
What is unethical and unprofessional is to do mischief and tell lies by arrogating the success that does not belong to them. This same govt blames Buhari for past policy failures. Why are they not truthful enough to give credit for what he did?

The honest truth is I only bought additional shares of Oando because of JAGABANomics not even because of WALE. I still have my reservations about WALE. The day JAGABAN leaves governance I will get out of Oando before then sef

Correct me if I am wrong though, but we seem to forget that Wale himself will benefit and get more shares than anyone else from the share distribution.

You made a good point.
I think Oando just needs to inject enough capital to eliminate the killer finance costs and rationalize the huge admin. expenses which depress their profits.
If they are able to do these two things before 2027, then there will be no fears even after his uncle leaves power.
Hopefully, the share redistribution will be completed before then.

If According to you PBAT is an incompetent failure then the previous leaders must have been terrible beyond comparison otherwise how do you explain the increased oil production?

He will benefit too, but compare what he would benefit now against the benefit of keeping the whole 4.3billion to himself and the related party subsidiaries.

I really don't want to talk about that shares redistribution now maybe I will another day but for now let Wale keep playing the games until the numbers starts showing green for Oando

I agree with your theory. A score of 30% is better than 10%, but both are still failures!
The renewed increased oil production is largely due to improved policy, regulatory and legal frameworks that govern the oil sector as contained in the Petroleum Industry Act, 2021 which was promulgated by the Buhari govt (the same APC govt), even though it had been a draft bill for many years. Same with the rehabilitation of the PH refinery.

Buhari is APC, so my point is not based on political party affiliation, but facts.

I got your point and you are right. In my own view, if Wale decides to corner the entire shares to himself or cronies, it may eventually lead to litigation from those that initially owns it. Therefore, the best way to do it, is to get the shareholders approval through AGM. Afterall, getting half bread with peace of mind is better than eating the whole bread and thereafter going through persecutions.
