The sultan of Sokoto and powerful Muslim people in the north are not happy that south west is enjoying high level of peace. They were not happy and came up with the infusion of Sharia here to destabilise the peace we all are enjoying. |

Christistruth02:*raised eye brows* My friend, I just saw your mention. Did you read my post properly at all? It seems you wanted to reply someone else on this thread and MISTAKENLY replied me. From the bolded last paragraph of your post, you seem to think I'm a Muslim and of far-Northern Nigeria descent which I'm NOT. Go right back and read my full post again then you will get a proper hang or thrust of my post. For decades now (right from 1981), I've gained a deep knowledge from reading advanced books and materials in the field of "comparative religion," so, I know a lot about the secrets and origins of Islam (and the contradictions and dogmas of other major world religions such as Xtianity as well). I don't need to be told by anybody about the dichotomy, laws and schisms that exist in Islam for centuries as it relates to "Muslims in predominantly Muslim communities or countries NOT allowing their daughters to marry non-Muslims for instance," and the other detail you stated in your second paragraph. |

tanigororo:1. I know that this is the claim of Muslims initially: like Mubarak Bala, was a Nigerian atheist and humanist, was imprisoned for blasphemy in Kano State. Bala was sentenced to 24 years in prison for a Facebook post he made in 2020 that some considered to be insulting to Islam and the Prophet Muhammad. He spent four years in prison If Bala was not a Muslim, how does blasphemy law work against him. 2. Secondly, I asked you a simple question. In Yoruba societies (Your president is an example) , the husband is Muslim and the wife is a Christian. Some of the children are Muslims while some are Christians. So Tell me sincerely how you will judge this case according to the Sharia A Muslim father dies but 2 of his 4 children are Christians. What does the Sharia of Allah say about sharing of Inheritance? Would the Christian children get anything from their father's estate according to Sharia? 2 Likes |

I am particularly happy for the traditionalists. Because they would have been receiving the most brutal end of the sharia stick. Chief Imam, please do not forget that there should be an agenda to claim back Ilorin. Start now. Possibly within this century, the move would have gathered momentum and successfully achieve it. To traditional institutions, something should be said about the Oba of Iwo bearing the title 'Emir'. |

Christistruth02:NEVER! I'm a "blood brother" as well. With a deep knowledge of advanced history and the ability to detect patterns used by people with very dishonest intentions, there's NO way we're gonna let the dark-minded, outside entities to create chaos. Thanks to the historically gallant Ibadan army and other military generals such as Balogun Oderinlo of Ibadan (Oderinlo and a few Ibadan Yoruba military commanders were Muslims as well who defeated the so-called Fulani jihadists) who conclusively defeated the Fulani jihadist invaders (and some of their Ilorin Muslim Yoruba collaborators who pointed out the way) at the battle of Osogbo in 1840 and also at Otun-Ekiti where the jihadist invaders faced another bloody defeat, and they never tried invading core Yorubaland again. Another great war where these Fulah jihadi invaders were conclusively defeated was the 1878 Jalumi War in Ikirun, Osun State and the Offa War of 1886 to 1890, not far from Ilorin. My positive thoughts go to the thousands of Ibadan army personnel and other Yoruba military forces from the 1830s and 1840s, and beyond, etc, who gallantly defended the Yoruba homeland against these foxy jihadi invaders right up to Ekiti otherwise several Yoruba cities and towns would have been under a minority foreign Fulani rulers (and perhaps including significant parts of modern Edo and Delta States). In 1840, Ibadan army defeated the Fulani at Osogbo. From there, they began retaking Yoruba settlements conquered by the Fulani (Akinjogbin 1998; Johnson 1921). This victory encouraged Ibadan to extend the campaign to Ekiti and other towns in the north that had been threatened by Ilorin since 1835. You can read my original post that you quoted on the previous page of this thread which is just right above your post to see the re-edited version. I added just a few comments and corrections to it for more clarity. Enjoy your day. 2 Likes 1 Share |

tanigororo:Oh, you have now accepted that Shariah court and law are inseparable. Why are all of you Sharia enforces asking the same questions? No originality at all. As to the five ways, you could have asked 1000 or even 1 way. It makes no difference. It is one of the most selfish question that can be asked. I have never lived in Benue, so herdsmen attacks over there doesn't affect me but that doesn't me, I should play dumb when it occurs. Why am I concerned? I believe it is evil for any group to attempt to use government or legal power to enforce religious laws in any form in a multi-religious society. The end result will always be catastrophic. Religion is a private affair, so should Sharia be for those who wants it. One of your guys even "educated" me that Sharia law is already being practiced in hundreds of Islamic centers across the SW. If he is right, then why do you demand extra power to adjudicate private issues? Why try to establish something that is already functioning? Before you come back with the "Hijab issue" because that is what your other fellows retort with after failing to defend their need for Sharia law. I support anybody who wants to wear hijab in any public space without restrictions. It is not the government's job to encourage or prevent a person from using a particular form of dressing. What will be problematic is if a group tries to use government, legal or coercive power to enforce wearing of hijab as the Sharia proponents are trying to do. 2 Likes |

Xisnin:Based on your long story, what's the point? I expect succinct and rational response not some baseless fallacy. I was even expecting some intellectual comment, but all you could claim was based on hatred for Islam. Not more nothing less. Educate yourself on the constitution of the country in regards to Sharia Law and Shariah Court. |

tanigororo:Why do you have problems answering my two simple questions. My objections 1. I presented my evidence to show that It is Taqqiya to say Sharia affect only Muslims 2. I presented a classic case for Sharia judgement involving a Muslim man and some of his non Muslim children. You can see how your Sharia broke down like watery beans. Stop propagating falsehood! Otherwise, answer my questions! 2 Likes |
