That's rather cute... She's a daddy's girl. That's the kind of bond a lot of girls don't get from their fathers till they reach adulthood and then start verbally demeaning men including their fathers. Most marital breakdowns are partly caused by the lack of a father figure in a girl's life from childhood.

The father would obviously have taken permission from the teacher or school to bring a cake over to appreciate his daughter and celebrate the occasion with her classmates.
