Abeg this Plan na Unlimited abi limited

I'm guessing it will be 50 GB priority data, and then once you exhaust that, it's going to be unlimited standard data.

Kinda similar to the business plan that I had no choice but to pay for around December, because of the annoying regulatory issues. cry

The residential and roaming plans are currently suspended in Nigeria for new customers due to the price increase Starlink is trying to implement but the business plan is still available and you can still order for a Starlink kit under the business plan option on Starlink official website for NGN626,300 (amount is for a new standard actuated kit NGN590,000 + NGN36,300 shipping and handling fee). But i will only advise you to go for the business plan if you know you can afford the 159,000 monthly business plan subscription fee and also have it in mind that soon there is surely going to be a price increase on all Starlink subscription plans.

Not Nigeria... Residential and roaming is suspended in the entire West African countries. Coincidentally only these countries still use v2 starlink. Rest of Africa is given v3 starlink when they order. They even have starlink mini and another lower residential plan.

Make the conclusion you wish, but I think they about to change west Africa to v3 too if not why block entire west Africa using v2?

Hi. Quick one please,so if I buy a kit say from Konga or a reseller, can I subscribe to a residential plan? Cos on the app, I saw an option to scan a code or something if you already have a kit.

Has anyone gotten bill after the 27th of January and still got 38k bill. Basically want to know if they have rescinded the decision to increase price.

Yes you can also buy from konga or any other reseller but you will still only be able to subscribe to the business plan (₦159,000 monthly) for now.

For now the 38k still stands. Price increase hasn’t been implemented yet.

I believe the FG told them to revert. Eventually, they will probably increase it by no more than 50% instead of the 100% they were going for.

As someone explained above, you can't activate residential plan in Nigeria anymore, no matter where you buy it from. You can, however, activate the business plan which costs 159k per month.

there is something going on now... thought i should share it wit everyone.... although am yet to setup one.. but an installer friend of mine has been installing difft starlink kits since december.. we refer to it as the backdoor...

cons of this installation
1.. u cant change ur wifi password in a hurry
2. u dont have access to your dashboard
3. chances of you receiving new starlink kit to me is slim cos u need ur dashboard to login and contact customer care ( still asking questions)
4. cost of activation varies from 200k to 250k (inclusive of the fist month subscription)
5. price of monthly sub is 90k

let me hear ur view on this. will be activating one soon

So it's 38k per month for the residential? Even for new kits?

You guys should stop repeating this same question please for God’s sake.
It is already clearly written on this same page multiple times that you can only activate the BUSINESS PLAN on a brand new kit. The 38k residential plan only still remains for OLD CUSTOMERS that were able to activate their kit with the residential plan before the suspension of residential and roaming plans for new customers In Nigeria.

Only for existing customers.

As for New Customers, there is a special Enterprise plan we activate for customers. It's 1TB and cost 100k monthly. Activation fee is 50k.

I wanna ask when last did you activate a Starlink for someone ?
A friend of mine said he activated his own with 75K in January & that I should be able to activate mine with the same amount
The story varies from one person to the other mehnn and I'm very confused 😕

I just called them and they said it is based on congestion. Areas congested cannot activate the residential plan only new areas like jalingo osogbo .. correct me if I’m wrong

Well if you know any location that is currently open for new customers for the residential plan, kindly share it with the forum, with a screenshot attached as proof. As for jalingo and osogbo you mentioned, those two locations are currently at full capacity as well on Starlink site.

If I buy second hand, will I be able to keep using the 38k monthly subs?

It seems everywhere in Nigeria is congested

Tell the person you want to buy from to confirm from customer service if he/she can transfer ownership and change address to yours while you still keep using the residential plan already on the kit at your own address. Before the suspension of residential and roaming plan in Nigeria, it was very much possible but right now, I can’t say.
N.B
Tell the person to screenshot the response he/she gets from customer service and send to you just to be on a safe side.

Have starlink stabilized the residential price at 38k?, we never can tell what they will do next. I don't know if the 38k is now final price by starlink.
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by dustmalik(m): 11:22am On Feb 18
Starlink will definitely implement its increase in the coming days, especially now that other service providers have taken the initiative.

Indeed, elections do have consequences. People will do well to remember this fact.
