Hello house, Please where can I get genuine Felicity lithium battery in Lagos? |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AinsSama: 7:18pm On Feb 14 |
burnerr:Your planned setup is already a recipe for success. The 5kva Growatt inverter you intend getting is a tried and tested performer. The relatively high price you pay for it already covers the excellent quality expected of it. Likewise the in-built Mppt it comes with is good enough so you don't need spending money on any extra external mppt. Keep that money for some other important project. My only input would be on the type of Lithium battery you intend to buy. Make sure it's LiFePo4 chemistry and not Lithium ion. 3 Likes |

Shutdown the entire system while you do this. Set your DIP Switches as thus: Bat1: 0000 Bat2: 1000 Connect the communication cable between both batteries as follows: Bat1: COMM1 to Inverter Bat1: COMM2 to COMM1 of Bat2 Consult your Inverter Manual for the Protocol Setting to match and read your Battery BMS according to your Battery / Inverter Compatibility Setting. Despite this, something else might be responsible for your asymmetric charge and discharge. Does your Inverter have 2 Battery Inputs? Did you introduce a breakers or bus bars between your Inverter and Battery? Are you using any Battery Combiner to connect both batteries to the Inverter? In the Interim, do this: Connect the Negative (-ve) from Battery 1 to the Negative (-ve) of Battery 2. Connect the Positive (+ve) from Battery 1 to the Positive (+ve) of Battery 2. Connect the Positive (+ve) cable of Battery 1 to the Positive (+ve) terminal of the Inverter. Connect the Negative (-ve) cable from Battery 2 to the Negative (-ve) terminal of the Inverter. This is to force a linear or equally distributed charge and discharge current between the two battery packs. Turn on everything and charge up both batteries to full and discharge batteries while observing the battery levels on both packs during the whole process. Please note that equalization may not be achieved at just one charge and discharge cycle, especially if the packs have different internal resistance on the cells. Let us know how it goes. kristien4: 4 Likes 1 Share |

Hi guys, I'm new to this and have a few questions please: 1. What happens when a solar battery charges fully? Do the panels power your load directly or do they keep drawing power from your battery while the panels replace the energy used from the batteries in real time? 2. How do you calculate the number of solar panels you'll need to power your load during the day and still have a fully charged battery by sundown? 3. How much would it cost to build a solar system with a lithium battery that can power a few bulbs, a gaming laptop (230 watts), a Skyrun 70-liter fridge, and a standing/ceiling fan? Thanks in advance. 1 Like |

1. Depends on the type of setup you have. Most Hybrid Inverters (If they have adequate number of Solar Panels) will Charge your battery to full, then keep the battery in trickle and power your load directly from the solar panels. Basically any Inverter with OUTPUT POWER SOURCE PRIORITY FUNCTION will most likely give you this. 2. You have to know your energy consumed by those loads during the day or all day, you have to know your battery bank capacity, you also have to know how many SUN HOURS you have in your location. Other factors like angle of Inclination of the panels might also help you get the best out of your Solar Panels. 3. Please state your LOAD or power rating of all your appliances you intend to power. WHILE CHOOSING YOUR SOLAR PANELS, ALWAYS CALCULATE YOUR VALUES WITH THE NOTC RATING OF THE PANEL Charley2020: 3 Likes |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 11:35am On Feb 15 |
Charley2020: 1. Any decent hybrid inverter has an option to prioritize load. Ergo, power from sun goes to load first, then the remainder goes into the battery. When the battery is full, it just takes what it needs to power your load while sending a couple of watts into the battery. 2. Empirical data indicates solar setups, all things being equal (properly wired, panels set to maximize output) will make around 3-4x their rating daily. Ergo, if you have a 2000w pv setup, you can expect to make around 7kwh on the average day. Use those numbers, work backwards, and you'll see how much panel wattage you need in a day. 3. If those are the only equipment you have, you're dealing with about 400w of load. For 24-hours power supply, assuming you're not gaming at night, you're going to require A 2.56kwh lithium battery 1500w of panels An inverter with a ~60a mppt Maybe around 1.5m budget. That should just about take you off-grid. 1 Like |

jonescosmos:Thanks alot. I will try these. 1. I could not get the right protocol to connect the growatt inverter to the zinox battery port, hence i did not use communication between battery and inverter. 2. There is a breaker between battery and inverter, no busbars/combiners, i tightened the terminals together with bolt and nut. 3. The inverter has only one battery terminal for negative and positive . .... I have noticed during charge, both batteries are charged equally, like 30amps to battery 1 and 30amps to battery . Even though they are at different percentages, the charge amps are equal. I will try your suggestions when i get home. I appreciate. |

Bros abeg help us do a video to test this your Energy Saving Device according to this drawing. A common source NEPA/GEN connected to two Energy Meters 1&2, Your Energy Saving Device connects to Energy Meter 1. Extension 1 is thereby connected to your Energy Saving Device. Extension 2 is connected directly to Energy Meter 2. During your video, you will have to plug the testing Load Appliance to Extension 1, show us the reading on Energy Meter 1 and then plug the testing Load Appliance to Extension 2 and also show us the reading on Energy Meter 2 Anything less than this illustration is not meant for this thread, because we will not believe it. jonescosmos: Even if you send him two energy metres for this he won't do this. He underestimated the audience in this thread, he must've thought here is Facebook where people believe a "fuelless generator" running only on a one 7ah battery powering a 32 inches monitor, based on a 5-second video clip, is capable of powering every household appliances (pressing iron, washing machine etc) simply because the person on the clip advertising it said so. When the uneducated user ends up buying the "fuelless generator" and finds out it's just a 500VA PC UPS in disguise, he must've been blocked by the scam seller who must've sold it to him at a cost of 5x the cost of a regular PC UPS. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Good evening, guys. So I have a 12v 1.5kva setup(1.5kva Sukam inverter, 220ah tubular battery, 40amp mmpt CC, and 700w panel). The tubular battery if fully charged can't power my 50inch TV for 6hrs, considering that one is suppose to use about 50 to 60% of ba3 and then the safety on the inverter turns off the system. I need an improved backup system still on 12v, and I'm considering selling the 220ah ba3 and getting a lifepo4. My questions are; Can I use my current Sukam 1.5kva inverter to charge a lifepo4 ba3? Secondly, what capacity of lifepo4 would be a proper and highly improved replacement for the 12v 220ah tabular? And lastly, would I be needing to add to my 700w solar panel should I get a lifepo4 ba3? Thanks for your responses in advance. |
