Please I want to ask:
The M.sc information technology programme at Noun is it an academic Masters or professional master's degree? I'm asking because the duration is just 12 months
Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by HooxJnr(m): 11:27am On Feb 09
Enskynelson:

If you have not been verified (given Matric number), login using your AFN and choose another study centre. If you have matriculation number, go to your current study center and apply for change of study centre. Make sure you have a copy of the completed form, upload the same to support.nou.edu.ng. Note that this won't be possible until after results are out.

Thank you for the information.

Academic. It is M.Sc Information Technology and NOT Master of Information Technology. You can use that for PhD.

It is an academic degree programme, and it's more than 12 months.

Okay thanks
Please what's the duration and the estimated cost to complete the programme?

Please what's the difference between these two?

Please what's the difference between these two?
The difference is in my explanation. One can be used to apply for a PhD and the other cannot. This applies for MBA and M.Sc. Business Administration, MPA and M SC Public Administration and others

Just proceed with registration on the portal and then do registration when it is time.
You need to have access to your email ahead of registration. Email is yourmatno@noun.edu.ng, default password is your Matric number in uppercase.

It’s saying my password was changed 59 days ago.
Should I just apply for another admission?

This can be resolved. Just meet the ICT staff at your study centre and it will be resolved.
Before that, try and use the "forget password" option and see if your phone number comes up. Cheers.

Turns out I’m not the only one with this problem
Thanks for your guidance sir.

Anyone who has completed their physical verification and screening at the PH study centre should please indicate.

I was there sometime in January but was asked to come back later. I seriously can't afford to be out of work and not get that done same day.

On another note, if you're starting your studies for PG Info Tech first semester and you're interested in being in a study group. Kindly indicate, send me an email or chat me on Whatsapp. Serious fellows only please

Hi @Enskynelson,
Good evening.

Please I wanted to ask a question. I've finished all my academic work and my seminar result is finally out. Please can I request for Educational Credential Assessment now?

That's a transcripts. That should only be possible after graduation. However, try and confirm this by sending a ticket using the support portal.

August 2024 is such a long time. The last person I know who applied like that, it took him several months as well. From what you said, I think this process is not so efficient for now.
You can however go to the head office in Jabi Abuja and get your certificate. That same day or the following day, you will get your certificate.

Thank you so much for the prompt response.
I will do to the head office.

Then you are probably not qualified. The courses won't display if the Degree programme and grade you filled doesn't qualify you for the programme. Please send a DM if what I said doesn't align with the fact.

How do I sort out the “invalid matric number “ error?
Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Enskynelson(m): 10:20am On Feb 17
Chillguy:

How do I sort out the “invalid matric number “ error?
Are you are new student? Did you register last semester? Matric no includes the NOU followed by 9-digits number. Be sure you are entering it correctly.
If however you have been inactive, follow this steps:

Dear all,
The directorate hereby informs you that students who have been inactive can proceed to sign-up on the new portal. During sign-up, they will receive a message "Matriculation number to be activated". Their records will be migrated within 72hrs from the initial sign-up attempt. Afterwards they can re-attempt signing-up.
This implies there is no need for study centres to compile a list of such students. Migration of such students will be done within 72hrs.
This is for your information.
Thank you.

If you still have issues, kindly send complaint using the support ticketing platform https://support.nou.edu.ng/
