Why are Nigerians so hateful of the TRUTH? Nigerians would rather lie even when telling the truth would save their lives. Not all Nigerians are naive and gullible, and they know that Mr. Gambaryan would not have made such a weighty allegation if there was no truth to it especially when they know that the government is a cesspool of corruption. Firstly,U need to even question ur own limited definition of what it means to 'REFUTE' an allegation!

A political office holder is accused by someone or a tabloid that a building or structure done by him was 'non existent'.....in a bid to refute such allegation esp in a court of Public opinion,he provides evidence of such building including the location thereby countering the allegation!

On the contrary, lie detector tests (Polygraph tests) can indeed be used in some U.S. States state criminal justice systems (under certain circumstances) although U.S. Federal courts do not permit them.

However, law enforcement agents in the United States use your statements done with Polygraph tests for preliminary investigations and these statements can be used against you.
