Hi guys. Went for my appointment 11th of February but couldn't gain access inside the consulate, due to delay in the confirmation of my blocked account from fintiba but have gotten the confirmation yesterday.guy what is the next possible solution in getting an appointment immediately.
Send an email to the embassy asap stating your last appointment code

Its already part of the checklist. With the rapid changes at the embassy, he can be denied the visa on this requirement. The payment plan of the university is independent of the consulate's decision. If you can get a 2-month loan for the tuition, pay it. The moment you get to Deutschland, you can withdraw such a mouth completely at once since it's different from the normal monthly means of livelihood.

Alternatively, he can attend. Pray that the VO will not tag your application as incomplete. But one thing is sure, you must show proof of the one year tuition

Do you think rescheduling would be the best option now to buy some more time? Although on the admission letter, it is stated that he already paid his enrolment fee.

How many weeks does it takes expatio to confirm block account payment please

Its straightforward.

1. Login or sign up to this site. https://digital.diplo.de/
2. Chose Nigeria and follow the instructions here: https://digital.diplo.de/studium
3. Upload all relevant documents, then wait for your turn too book an appointment
Thank you for your swift response, but i noticed something while registering on the website, i was asked if i can provide prove that i have the German language skills required to attend a preparatory language course. i just have a preparatory language course document, nothing more, any idea how i can proceed? because if i select "No" a prompt would come up saying i don't qualify for a visa.

The new required updated on the checklist, for private university you have to show proof of 1 year tuition

Was this added newly, i saw it too within the week.

So I got a date for the 18th of February but I needed a new Admission Letter so I asked to be rescheduled to March to process one.

(FYI for people seeking private admission, I got an offer from BSBI yesterday, and I applied on Saturday the 8th, just need to pay the deposit of 2,000 to get my AL)

I got rescheduled to the 4th of March on Wednesday, but this evening I was rescheduled again to the 1st of July, just out of the blue with no reason

You can contact them to confirm your exact date of visa.

But I think is better for u than the problems of private university.

Few months to wait is better than their myriads of financial wahala

Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Chriswazo(m): 3:03am On Feb 16
For the record, I understand the unreliable nature of embassy ADs, ordinarily I would advise people to reschedule their AD than stress of private universities.

Do u guys read their contracts before signing, those guys are damn strict for your money.

Hello
I’ve been seeing a lot of discourse surrounding the blocked account, and I don’t know how to go about it
My dad is a German citizen, would I still need to create a separate Blocked account as there’s no exception stated in the list, or do I just need to have the required amount in his account at once or, his statement for the past month should sum it up ?
Also he has a Nigerian account here and that is the statement he wants us to provide at the consulate, is that right?

I believe since you aren't a citizen you still need to meet the normal requirements of a blocked account. I don't think the consulate accepts nigerian bank statements.

The Embassy/consulate takes the following documents as proof of finances
1. Blocked account with the amount of 11904 euros
2. Sponsorship Letter
3. Scholarship Letter

So you either block the money in an account in Germany using blocked account providers such as Fintiba, Expatio etc.

But my Recommendation: If he's going to sponsor your stay, I think you should do Sponsorship Letter instead.

Anyone can correct me if I am wrong

Even within Germany, if you want to extend your residence permit, they ask for a blocked account. Sometimes the money in a current account is account is accepted, but a blocked account is the standard. Bank statements aren’t really acceptable.

Is it advisable to open my blocked account and fund it now due to the fact that German appointment date is running fast. I booked appointment 2024.

And how do I send the blocked funds from my Nigerian bank to the expatrio blocked account

Hey everyone! I was admitted for the Winter 2024 session and deferred to Summer 2025. However, since I still haven’t received a visa appointment, I canceled my admission. Despite this, I had already enrolled for the Summer 2025 session and received my login credentials. I have now reapplied for Winter 2025, but based on my previous admission timeline, I expect the admission letter to be released in August.

Do you think I should explain all of this with proof in my rescheduling email?

There are two categories:

1. Skilled worker: If your degree is H+ on Anabin, and your degree is also on Anabin, all you need is your block account of 13092 euros of SL, and you'll get your Visa. No need for a language test. If it's not, you need to do ZAB. It cost 208 euros and takes 3 months

2. Unskilled workers: These are people whose Universities are not H+, their degree course is not certified, or have HND or vocational training. If you fall here, you need the language certificate of IELTS B1 or A1 German. You also need to get six points from the point system.
