So the mails have stopped for all departments?

Is there still any hope?

Probability of a lawyer getting in as a GT was low.

If they sent emails midnight and you wake up to no email, face the hard truth and begin your journey.

Again, if you've had your interview, you will know how much of a disadvantage those who share their questions have put themselves and others. In the scheme of things, an engineer and an accountant share both safety and behavior questions even if the technicals are different. It's not also about being afraid someone might snatch your job, it's simply what a competition is.

Thirdly, are you implying that NNPC will change the entire panel groups ranging close to 100 or more every week? Bias is a part of human nature and it's not a strange thing to compare two people. If anything at all, it's the whole essence of the interview process, to compare and pick whoever is considered the better person.

I agree that dressing(nobody dresses stupidly to interview of that magnitude even if they have to borrow), eloquence, confidence are ingredients but you exhume these attributes better if you have armed yourself with likely questions.

Finally, don't live in the delusion that this is not a competition or that someone from other profession does not threaten you. When you share your interview questions, even people from your own profession see it, and use it, and shine brighter at their interviews. I'm not again sharing tips but don't share interview questions under the guise of sharing tips and tilt the scale unnecessarily, for likes and commendation, in favour of people who cannot remember your name after reading your 'robust tips' on the group.

Good luck to everyone.

Congratulations to everyone who go in.

I thought I'd get in and eventually have the moral justification to touch more on this for future applicants but, unfortunately, I didn't so I'd write what I can.

This our set of candidates is likely the most foolish of all sets that have attempted to get into NNPC. That Nigerian way of never doing anything right and always wanting to cheat the system still came in handy.

In a highly competitive recruitment of over 12,000 with the organization looking to recruit less than 1000, these so called generous applications began to share their questions to their competitors. I even read of a certain guy who walked out of his own Interview to share his questions with those on his interview queue which gave them an added advantage. While answering the questions alone does not determine if you will be employed as other factors such as confidence, communication skill and others play a role, having the questions before hand helps you improve on these factors.

Now, do you know why they shared their questions?

1. Overconfidence - they were just so sure they have performed well and were already on their way in.

2. Under performance - This set just knew they didn't stand a chance so why not just spil?

But, by and large, the questions asked were so similar and repetitive that there was just no way sharing the questions did not tilt the outcome of the interview.

Some of these morons are not even the best orators, don't have the best aura, do not appear confident to their interviewers, have not studied a course that gives them a competitive edge - they are just morons.

So I know many of you will come finding this thread in the next recruitment. Learn from us. Don't let your hard work and sleepless nights go to waste for a thankless service. Nobody cares if you helped them get in as it is today. Many who got tips and got in today do not even remember who shared questions with them. Do the right thing that will not unnecessarily tilt the outcome of the interview and put some of you at a disadvantage. They will gaslight you as you may have seen earlier in the thread, they will say it's people like you who do not get ahead in life but hold you ground. And that way, whatever the outcome is, you'd know you have given your best.

Good luck to everyone.

Nope, it wasn't just sharing of questions alone. People who were interviewed on 14th, 15th and 16th got in.

Nobody who interviewed during my session got in. I'm a lawyer.

Not even a foreign first class graduate who also got a first class in Law school.

At the end of the day, NNPC cannot employ from one state more than the other. The best petroleum engineers, geologists and geophysists will be prioritized over let's say the best political scientist if one was to be chosen.

People will always get it from the first day but it don't mean that sharing interview questions does not tilt the scale. Some of them have professional qualifications, graduated with a first class, have industry experience as you could see from the success email that the CV was also a factor used in the recruitment and also studied relevant courses. You never can tell what the other person has as an advantage.

It's just a message for the next set. They can take it or leave it.

I noticed that there are fewer testimonies this time compared to the last recruitment. On Nairaland, WhatsApp, and Twitter, I haven’t seen many posts about people who got in, unlike last time, when there were so many. Either they recruited fewer people this time, or most of those who got in are not speaking up. Either way, congratulations to everyone who got the job, your lives have changed forever!

I see you're new to the labor market, this adsertion is WRONG. Collaboration takes people farther. Get into a blue-chip coy as a GT and grow to mid management in 5 years and you'll know what takes us there.

People with this mindset never go far as you're so IQ oriented instead of EQ.
This is the second time I'm reading this from you and I want to assume you're yet to get into a BLUE-CHIP coy. Change your mindset. The employers (NNPC) know what they want regardless of what applicants do that's immaterial to influence decision making in a hiring process.

First, don't make this a dick measuring contest. I have no interest in that. You think life is a linear curve and that because I have certain views, I don't deserve good things. Well, let me surprise you, I have had my share of good things. I've had numerous offers from some of the biggest organizations in this country and I'm presently with one.

I also think you have high EQ but low IQ. Do you think this is a university department defence where everyone passes. It's a competition for the best and if you share your questions, it's not collaboration, you're putting yourself at a disadvantage. Your example of 'blue-chip this and that' and becoming a manager is comparing apple and orange. Wrong comparison.

If these things are too difficult to comprehend, then we still have a long way to go as a country.

If you didn't get into the NNPC, don't blame yourself thinking you are not intelligent or not the best.

We had close to 50 panels if not more than with each having their own unique bias.
Someone may not perform well before his/her panel but just because he/she finds favour in the sight of the panel members for one reason or the other, they will rate him/her well. Same applies to someone who must have performed excellently before his/her panel but because he/she didn't find favour in the eyes of one or all of the panel members, they will not rate him/her well.

That has always been my fears. Remember in school, some lecturers are kind and others tough. Same thing applies here.

So, don't blame yourself at all. The goal is to be successful in life and you must not be at the NNPC to achieve that. I don't think the NNPC GCEO is among the top 100 most successful people in Nigeria. So, pick up yourself and work out your life for the better.
