The coach must have made those comments because Lookman was not the best penalty taker in the team. EacH team has players that are preferred for taking penalty kicks, so if you are not among and you take it and missed, you may be blamed. How would the miss have brought them back? Are you aware they were 5-2 down on aggregate and losing 1-3 that night?
So he scores the kick and they go 5-3 on aggregate and 2-3 on the night which means they still need to score two more goals. How will the spot kick have brought them back?
