Tonight, he was given opportunity to consolidate on his performance, he instead was sloppy and misplaced lots of balls. Couldn't get anything going and was hooked off after the first half.

He should know that there are strong competitions in that position - Dani Olmo, Gavi, Pablo Torre and himself. Even Raphinha has played at this number 10 position. So he must sit up .

This Lewandowski situation is going to be a difficult one to resolve, isn't it?

On the one hand, he scores a bucket load of goals and he's the best striker in the world. Yet, when you watch majority of his performance, you wonder how he managed to score all those goals when he just missed a sitter and truncated alot of our attacking plays.

I don't exactly understand how this one will be resolved.

Furthermore, he still looks very fit and gives his all in training. I don't think he's gotten any injury this season despite accumulating alot of minutes already.

This leaves me in a bit of conundrum

When Hansi Flick started with the risky and infamous high-line at Barca, critics said that he will soon be exposed and that day, Barca will not know what hit them.

Yes that might still happen, however, 6 months and a mammoth 201 offside caught against the opponent later, while it hasn't proved to be 100% foolproof, it has gone on to make Barca the most exciting team to watch in the whole Europe. We have scored 120 goals this season in all competition in just 36 games.

We'll be figured out sooner or later, they said, but they should know we have the perfect players to play in this system. Pau Curbasi, Inigo Martinez and Eric Garcia are some of the most intelligent defenders out there.

Unfortunately, he is the 4th defender in Barca right now. He won't start an important match for Barca unless two of Curbarsi, Eric Garcia or Inigo Martinez are not available.

These trio are all superior to him in keeping the highline, in building play from the back (defensive playmaker) and in anticipation. Araujo's pace is inevitably highly valued but if he knows how to anticipate properly, he won't need much of his pace in this current Barca system. I also like his physicality and 1v1.

But being a good defender in this Hansi Flick's system demands so much more.
