The names means you should come and take over Rivers State and chase the owners of Rivers State away so you can have their oil, gas and lands.

The name means you own Rivers State!

Do you know the chibuike Amaechi has Rotimi as his name too? Why are the Yoruba's not claiming to own Rivers State?

I'm not interested in stupid discussions with foolish people, please. Take care.

I also want to ask please. Many Nigerian people bear Ella, Anastasia, Alexandra::etc., and other names most Greeks bear. I am yearning to know if the names mean the same thing as it does in Greek or does it mean sth else?

For example, Alexandra means Defender and helper of humankind , I guess. Does it mean the same thing in Nigeria?

You can not beat Wike at this game.

I guess the governor and his coterie of bad advisers did not see this coming. They have been boasting that they will conduct the LGA election no matter what may. Now see how Wike crashed their dreams.

For those that do not know, these resignations (and I hear that there will be more) mean that RSIEC is now not properly constituted. Those who resigned have to be replaced before they can organise an election and all nominations as commissioners of RSIEC have to be screened and cleared by the House of Assembly. Now use your tongue and count your teeth.

The fact is that Governor Sim is like a dog who, being painted with stripes, thinks himself a tiger and challenges the lion to a duel. A more astute politician would have lobbied these Assembly members to his side. This I have advocated on this platform several times and as far back as 2023. But he allowed himself to be deceived by Falana, Ugochinyere and co.

I actually don't see how he would have done that, going with the way Wike planned everything from the onset. Those assembly guys seem to be totally committed to Wike by something. It would have been advisable for Sim to lay low and finish his 1st tenure before taking up this fight, not like he didn't know what he was going into when he accepted the governorship offer from Wike.

Let's see how the battle ends. I think what they will continue doing is to frustrate the governor, to ensure that he doesn't achieve a good developmental record.

Impeachment might throw up tribal crises in the state because if the governor and his deputy are impeached, the speaker being an Ikwere man is the next to take over, which will not go down well with Ijaw who has been feeling cheated in the state before now.

The former governor really wants to replicate Lagos state politics in Rivers state, but time will tell whether he will succeed or not

It means the same thing.
Including Wike's own.
Wike's own is shortened from Nwike also shortened from Nwaike which means Strong child.

Wike at work.

On a side note, I expect political appointees including the commissioners and board chairmen to start resigning.

You can't build something on nothing. In the eyes of the law, none of them were duly appointed to the positions that they occupy as they weren't screened by the House of Assembly.

Furthermore, if the Assembly decide to be harsh, they report them to ICPC and EFCC for receiving illegal salaries and emoluments.

Na wa for Rivers State. grin
Illegal salaries? What type of weed is giving this type of moral?
All Rivers civil servants will be reported to ICPC for receiving illegal salaries but not rendering illegal services?
A cleaner in the commission will be reported to ICPC for receiving illegal salaries?

First understand that Rivers state in not an ethnic group.
You cannot draw comparison between a State and an ethnic group.

If he wanted to, the governor could have got almost all the assembly men to his side after they came back from the Abuja accord. He did not even attempt or explore this angle. I know that for sure. That was the fatal mistake he made.

On impeachment, there is no plan to impeach the governor as being speculated. It is even unnecessary at this point. It is the governor that is baiting the Assembly to impeach him, that is what he desires. But Wike knows better, this game. He has got Sim where he wants him and impeaching him at this point will even be doing the governor a favour.

The reality is the fact that Wike is not interested in impeaching Fubara but to take over the LG structures in the state. What Wike wants is to control the LGs to deny Fubara his reelection in 2027. You guys are too novice and unintelligent to know that Wike's focus is 2027 and I doubt if Fubara will survive it. I suspect that Magnus Abe from Ogoni will be the next governor of Rivers State in 2027. Mark my words! The same might Wike used to bring Fubara as governor and even got votes for Tinubu will be used to send Fubara packing in 2027

Wike will surely see the war he is calling for. Thank God Niger delta militants are already on rampage. Tinubu is the unwise one here. I know he will soon abandon Wike when the polity is too hot. Ijaw are not the type that will cow down easily. They will make sure their demand is met. Even if federal government declare state of emergency, that's where the real war will begin.

Our Mkpurumini bloda is invoking war on Rivers state, just because his Mkpurumini region is the unsafest in Nigeria
