I am thinking of going to do my MASTERS in geology,but i don't currently work as a geologist as i couldn't land a job in my field 10years after graduation.I currently work as an inventory staff(which i currently desire to leave).I am not sure if doing masters will be worth it.

I am also thinking maybe to also go into tech,is web development still viable at this time considering my age?

Painting - with finesse and skills. In few months of learning. Ur creativity will draw clients to you

Agriculture - any aspect of it. It requires finance though and a lot of enthusiasm.

Barbing - easy to learn and in a year of disciplined learning. U can open a shop in a demand area. Be creative in this field too. Ur shop shud look nice as much as d work of ur hands

Tech - ain't saying nada about this one. Coz i know nada about it.

Food - think small and large. And see where u could fit in. Pasteries sell but u'll need serious learning from legit source (tutor)

Join someone on an existing business. Make sure u have an idea about it or u just like the business. Watch n learn . Invest and be a shareholder first b4 standing alone

go for that tech, especially Web development and thank me later, I know what I have achieved with it so far, with that if you are serious coupled with good update, you can be carting away 500k monthly or more, sometimes I do make some people's one month salary in 3hrs or lesser. The secret is this, don't learn Web development for the sole aim of creating websites for people, though you can do that if work comes, but that shouldn't be your focus. Create websites that can generate money for you daily, I have mine, 3 with steady cash flow.

35 years is still very much young to change career.

You can never go wrong with tech, especially programming. Web design involves programming as well. By Web design, I don't mean using WordPress.

Let me advise you on the tech paths you can follow.

1. Frontend Developer
- HTML
- CSS
- Tailwind framework.
You can learn the above 2 scripting languages with tailwind in 3 months and be good.
Then...
- JavaScript
- node.js framework
You can learn the above in 3 to 10 months (depending on how fast you can grab) and be good in it.

With the above skills, you can earn a lot monthly working for people and freelancing.

2. UI/UX Design. It's easier when you understand how websites works.

3. Data Analysis

These 3 are tech skills you can learn in a short-time and start getting good pay.

Stay away from anything crypto trading or forex. But you can learn about the blockchain technology though but not trading.

I see someone mentioning Barbing, in this day and age your still advising a 35 years old man to learn barbing

For me I will advise you to learn any skill on tech like web dev, data analysis or video editing.

These skills are high in demand, most especially the video editing which is very easy to learn and it's pays well too.

You already know geology
Find tech in the specific area of your discipline
Deepen that particular path ..in niches and in parts

Find organizations in need of that particular skills you currently have

Write them
And see if you can get in

If you are truly valuable in that path as stated above
You will gain better employment with less amount of time

Web development isn't for everyone
But almost every field of human endeavours has tech in it
Choose the tech area in what you like the most

You can take two months to learn and master it. Just as chatgpt to give you step by step daily plan for two months. Recall less is much. Tell chatgpt to use Pareto principle when creating the plan. It will focus on giving you the 20% of the things that matters in the skill that you will master that will get you 80% results.
