elyte89:. Personally I av no ill-feelings towards papi abi papa but my pain is Yusuf over Onyeka. If club one is playing for influences match fitness and stamina then Yusuf has no place in dat team cause there's no way MLS is beta than German league. MLS is for players on retirement level, but what do I know, NFF is a confusing confusionist confuse by corruption. Yet this Papi dey mobile on d field of play. I will give it to him. |

The weight of expectations on this coach hmm God help him. I hope he wins his first game cos that’s the only thing Nigerians and the press remember; your first game. No matter how good you play subsequent matches once you lose or draw your first game you’re toast. He can ask his predecessors for confirmation. Wish him all the best. |

joxxy01:. I swear dat team list is influence by an influencial permanent secretary in d glass house. Many may not believe me. He is from d northern side and a tribalist bigot. He was d one that influence Bashir Ahmad during Boniface aboki tweet while he was in a restaurant with Bashir. 3 Likes 1 Share |

If it is by mobility, then Yusuf is far more mobile than Papa Daniel. You are accepting Papa for Mobility but Knocking Yusuf for playing in the MLS. Okay, let us do your logic. Onyeka should be in because he is in the Bundesliga which is definitely better than the MLS. Now, Is the NPFL better than the MLS?? villagereporter: 1 Like |

"The challenge I think is that people are not attentive enough to see influence the NFF have on the list of super eagles players for years. Who remembers when Eguavoen called onazi in the lead up to the qualifiers against Ghana? When he was interviewed , he stated later that it was not his decision; well if it wasn’t his decision then whose decision was it? At the time he was playing for serie D in italy, many eyebrows were raised but evidently some powerful people must influenced his inclusion but after many dissenting views from football fans, his name was excluded from the final list. Who remembers the arrogance of Amaju Pinnick who publicly boasted that he was the one who instructed Rohr to include Ahmed Musa to the 2018 world cup roaster. If we pay attention, we will realize that the main challenge with our football is the people at the Glass House at Abuja. When Osimhen had that public spat with Finidi, he stated that “He has no God Fathers in the NFF”; that statement is quite weighty because it suggest that even the players know that some players have God Fathers at the Glass House and these Dons determine who plays and who don’t. How can anyone explain how Yusuff makes the list ahead of Uche Chrisantus? How on earth does Sadiq or Boniface make the team ahead of Dessers? I am sure these crooks did all they could to include Ahmed Musa but the coach must have stood his ground. At the end, he was forced to make concessions. 1st they must have insisted on local players, who remembers Gusau when quizzed on the choice of Chelle, he stated that they wanted somebody who will watch and work with the chan team and ” there is no way he will not see one or two players from the local league that can be included in his team” (I paraphrase). The problem is that this is a poisoned chalice that similarly killed Finidi’s SE coaching career. He was deceived into calling up dubious names like players from the local league and Tanzania who looked clearly out of their depth against Benin Republic. 2ndly, they must have insisted on the federal character, Gusau, being a northerner must have insisted on Sadiq Umar, Papa Daniel and Alhassan Yusuf. This is the exact challenge with Africa in general because we never do anything based on merit but sentiments. What Chelle does not know is that the same people who twisting his arm to include these dubious players will be the same ones who will call for his head when push comes to shove. Having stated all this, I wish the team success and hope they qualify. On a positive note, Ogbu made the list and only the NFF can explain why this guy has not gotten a callup till now. Eguavoen and the clueless glass house should explain why it took a foreign coach to call Arokodare. Good to see Nathan Tella back." Copied. 5 Likes |

-I wish Dessers was there however i wish Boniface and Sadiq well(although im not sold on this guy Sadiq, he’s not a super eagles material, but how he does it in spain still baffles me, 7matches 4goals hmm especially scoring when international matches is closeby..he really has a way to shut people up and make the coaches look his way🤣🤣🤣) i prefer Dessers sha - I wonder why Onyeka was omitted however Alhassan yusuf is another rugged player i love in super eagles…he was solid in the DM against SA at afcon until that last error from him that made SA equalized via penalty…in the most recent against Rwanda he was also solid playing a topnotch defensive game while the game was still tied at 0-0,he was substituted in 46th mins for Frank Onyeka who came in and gave chukwueze the pass that led to our goal, but our MF/DM collapsed deep in the second half with Onyeka present and we lost that game(coach for look for someone else to drop for Onyeka to be included, as for Yusuf, he is a solid super eagles material, forget MLS he plays for or federal character bla bla…he’s gat that lanky speed and shape to wrestle down attackers) -Papa Daniel, one of the brain box and pass creator of CHAN eagles that help us dispatch Ghana…omo he is a justified inclusion from the local angle(if that guy becomes a mainstay in super eagles, im sure he will develop into the Mikel’esque kinda passer and playmaker with his aerial passes and short passes in all sha not all 35 players will play at once. Maduka Okoye Frank Onyeka Dele Bashiru(injured) Chris Uche Cyriel Dessers looking forward to seeing them back for super eagles..omo forget we have quality players meehn we cant affort to miss out on FIFA WC ooo🤦🏼🤦🏼😩 2 Likes |

NFF influence on team lists since days of Eguavoen go be like 50-70% It was Rohr's era that made me conclude on this. Till date, they haven't bend It's something like this NFF influence Merit influence Coach's own personal slot(not based on merit but mainly connections; mostly done by local managers) |

🗣️ Fabio Capello says Pep Guardiola has 'done a lot of harm to football' 😳 "You know what I don’t like about Guardiola? His arrogance. The Champions League he won with City is the only one where he didn’t try anything funny in the decisive matches." "But all the other years, in Manchester and Munich, on key days, he always wanted to be the protagonist. He would change things and invent them so he could say: ‘It’s not the players who win, it’s me’. And that arrogance cost him several Champions Leagues. I respect him, but for me, it’s clear." "Besides, even if it is no longer his fault, he has done a lot of harm to football. Because everyone spent ten years trying to copy him." "It ruined Italian football, which lost its nature. I said: 'Stop, you don't have Guardiola's players'! There was also the absurd idea that that was all there was to do to play well." "A disaster and also a boredom that made many people flee from football, they only have to watch the highlights, why are you going to watch 90 minutes of passes and horizontal passes without fighting, without running...?" "Fortunately, football is changing. First of all, Spain changed it by winning the European Championship with two wingers and playing fast." (El Mundo via GOAL) 1 Like 1 Share |
