Hello, biometrics done 21st February 2025

crackcrack:

What date did you do your biometrics?

Your visa has most likely been granted. You’ll confirm when you pick up your passport.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 3:47pm On Mar 12
@emekee
just reply them that yes they will be putting in their application in the next 14 days or something.
If there’s no decision made on your application in that 14 days then know they are probably waiting on those applications- then you should apply for everyone. When the visas are out and they do not decide to travel- that’s fine.

Different people. Different experiences. Different outcomes.

I've applied for all sorts of visas in almost 40 years. As an adult, I have never used leave letter as home ties. Never.

Accomodation is just a required information. The visa officer knows that you will sleep somewhere. They know you will not sleep at the airport or under a bridge. It is information required - it does not add real value for your visa to be approved. The most important things are: financial capability and proof that you will return to Nigeria (which means home ties essentially). Everything else is secondary.

I insist the lodgement was not necessary. In fact, most times, it causes more problems.

Re the example of your sister. Your sister's company account should not have been used for her visa application. In law, a company is different and should be seperated from it's owner. She can provide documents to prove she has a business she runs but her financial status will be determined from her own personal bank statements.

In summary, do what works for you. "There's more than one way to skin a cat"

Good luck!

God bless my sis.

PLEASE HOUSE I NEED YOUR HELP ON THIS👇

I have a wife and three children. I applied for a work visa that allows me to travel with my dependents. Initially, I applied alone and was granted a visa, but I have not yet traveled.

While still in Nigeria, my wife and one of my sons applied, intending to leave our two other children with a family member. The plan is to apply for them to join us in the UK once we have settled.

I also wish to add that my son who applied the same time with my wife also got a mail that says "We are unable to make a decision on your application within published visa processing times" ( but they did not request for additional document)
and attached is the email my wife received from the UK Visa Office. How should she respond?

👇👇👇👇Letter from UK VISA

The UK Decision-Making Centre is currently reviewing the application submitted by the above-named applicant. At this time, we are unable to reach a decision as additional information is required.
In your application, you stated that your other dependent children will not be traveling with you at this time.
Could you confirm if and when they intend to apply to join you and your husband (the main applicant) in the UK? We note that you included their birth certificates in your supporting documents.
If they have already submitted their applications, please provide their GWF numbers and the dates of their biometric appointments.

Your third point, if the Caseworker wants to query the source of an inflow they will ask, they dont reject application solely on this unless the person gave a wrong answer. Why would anyone not operate their account , thats even odd!
giselle237:
Nowadays they (HO) are clever, they know once visitors visa has been granted, next application is asylum.
Pls what documents did you provide to prove her employment as she does not have salary credits tallying with this.
Also did you write that about childcare as the reason she is applying to come? It is very risky as I see more refusals with this as they see it as you coming to work. My opinion.
Also you made 3 of the commonest mistakes.
• 1. Discrepancies in Financial Documents: Bank statements show figures that are different from what you have written in application answers.
• 2. Multiple Ingoing and Outgoings: There are multiple big transactions that are not disclosed or explained.
• 3. Recent Big Amount Added in Bank: This is the most common reason where people think it's an easy way to get a visit visa, which in fact is an easy way to get a refusal.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by babadydx: 8:59pm On Mar 12
Please write the response very well, site an instance of where you guys want to settle before bringing the other child(ren), please sound cogent, use emotional black and promise you will bring the child in asap maybe after some few months.

Uk visa officers working on visit visas do not write to you to explain the source of money lodgement. You will receive their reason in your refusal letter- no one will reach out to you to explain anything.
You have to be new on this thread.

It’s not for me. I helped them to apply. but they received an email on Monday that their passports are ready for pick up.

They picked it up today Wednesday, March 12.

6-month visa approved.

Thank you folks, especially those who helped out during the application process.

We told you to separate business account from personal account.

How can you be using same account for personal and business dealings?

@ Davodyguy thanks for response

My business account can not be use because it's registered with my P.O.S which I use for p.o.s BUSINESS, anytime I want to buy market I have to transfer money from it to my personal account because I want to have clean account for u.k visa. If I use p.o.s business account there are a lot of nonsense transactions in it that can damage my application.what can I do for the first bank statement account that those not show transactions narraction, but show only receiver name, can i add transactions confirmation that show both narration and receiver name to the documents i will be submitting?

Good afternoon everyone.

I withdrew my UK study visa application, how long does it take before VFS contact me to come pick up my passport? Or I can just go to their office to pick it up without them contacting me?

I provided her employment letter, promotion and letter of approved leave from her employer.

I did not state she is coming to provide childcare; purpose of visit is to see a family( her sister) who has been in the UK for over 2 years and meet her 16 months old baby first time.

1. She was using the salary account for personal business hence the discrepancies

2. I actually disclosed the other income source in the application form but I should have added it in cover letter and explain the source.

3. That recent big amount was just coincidental with the time of application. It was less than 200k and that was her salary after the implementation of the new minimum wage.

I was so engaged preparing for my wife surgery, going back and forth with the appointment so I don't really have enough time to scrutinise the application well enough. It was a difficult moment for us.

Thanks for your input..I really appreciate

Collection Email: 14/03/2025

I had a six-month visa last year which I used once. Decided to go for five years because I don’t want to reapply for a long time. Won’t be seeing VFS or UKVI till 2030!

Yes, it can fly. There's no hard and fast rule about how many months the account statement should cover, but it's advisable to submit at least 3 months. I submitted account statements covering the past three months and was recently granted a six-month visa. I can't disregard the fact that a strong travel history of visiting the UK twice within the last 10 years strengthened my case. Meanwhile, there are applicants who have even been denied after submitting account statements for 6 months and longer. Regarding your fixed deposit, please ensure the fixed deposit is liquidated right before your visa application, so you can prove access to liquid funds for the duration of your visit.

I am sorry that your family is going through this- it is particularly stressful with childcare when there is no family around. Is there anyone else that can try? Perhaps you or your wife’s parent?

Thanks for your kind words.

My wife mum is willing to come as mine has several commitments back home . The issue is proofing home ties as she is full-time house wife so I'm worried about her financial circumstance regards the visa application.
